Sounds like we can have him if we're willing to pay, I'm sure there'll be a premium but are we going to pay it?

Never doubt for a second that they would tell us it's on and pull the plug last minute. This is a multi billion £ business, etiquette is thrown out the window when people this rich and powerful are involved.

I would love to sign him but would be utterly astounded if they sell to us

HertYid is great for good info (not knocking the info) but I still can't see it happening in a millennium of Sundays.

Sounds promising.

I’m not sure what the fuck it sounds like. It could be interpreted one of about a million ways.

Honest question - why the riddles? If it’s too sensitive to say, don’t say it.

I guess because it prompts responses...OK, I’ll bite:

Presumably Utd are open to discussions but we need to make the move. I’d take that - he’s be such a good addition

HertYid on Martial:

Ask and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.

A little search on Google and the new living Bible version of this quote is:

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”

To me, this can only mean he has had an official transfer request accepted.

It fits that he asked to leave, and was told no, but due to his persistence he has now been granted his wish.

Herc has said that we are now in position to make bids on the same level as the “top clubs” - and we have sold to them enough times in the past... I’m happy to be an optimist here!

Herc said apart from the manc clubs. Guessing not psg, real or barca.

We moved up a level but not top draw level.

Martial would be a dream signing. I want to jump in the air for a celebratory freeze frame, but my Spurs transfer experience and pessimistic nature keep me grounded. Would love a few signings in the coming weeks though.

Mourinho doesn't think he is up to it but then he let Kevin the Ginger man, Salah and Lakaku go, so what does it matter. Deschamps doesn't either but then he has an embarrassment of riches for a front three. I dont know how Martial is an upgrade on Son as I see them a similar players. Maybe Sonny is off to military service after all.

I always thought the biggest issue with selling high value players is that the vast majority of teams that can afford them are located in the Premier league. Whilst you might want to sell abroad and not to your competitors, unless you can get Madrid, Barca or PSG interested then you aren't going to get a comparable price abroad........ We are almost fortunate that we have a relationship with Madrid which has negated the need to sell to Chelsea or united.
I wonder whether united have found that the offers from abroad just aren't anywhere near as high as those from clubs, and that might force them to consider an offer from us?

With HertyYid's info on Martial looking good :), it does I guess mean that Toby is going :(, so I'm guessing a fair whack of our transfer budget will have to go on De Ligt
