Good morning ITK-tards and welcome to the last ITK update of the week. Isn't it hot? Yesterday I was chilling out inthe pool area wearing just my Speedos when the manager came over and said "You can't come in here dressed like that, now put the cue down on the table and leave the pub"​

And as hot as it was yesterday, it was even hotter in ITK land we plung straight in with GGSpur over at COYS saying...........​

Then Storts was kind enough to pop his head in and give us the solution to yesterday's cryptic. Tim Krul, well done to few who got it.

Which was taken to mean Verthongen was naerly done. Well, by the more sane among us anyway.

Our final bit of info came from JJ here on SC when he responded with........

Its close but not actually done yet. Been close all week. This is all normal stuff and there are no delays and is usual and goes on with every transfer but you hear things earlier now than you used to!!We are not talking about a nominal fee here and not sure how many of you had dealt with large sums of money before but its not, correctly, taken lightly.

BTW, You dont know about all the other deals that may or may not be close though!!

Now then, a word on Verthongen. Seems the autocorrect on someone's mobile phone changed verhongen to 'Vertonghen'..............Veteran ITK watchers will recall Iaquinta being too much of a mouthful for ever who promptly re-christened him 'dave'..........Well it seems that from now on, Verthongen will be known as Vertonghen. Unless the deal falls through then he'll be just plain ****.
