Becoming quite concerned about Vucinic now. What happened to the "Vucinic developments overnight" from POTL?

It evaporated into thin air due to a bad case of vaguenessitis.

We really have no idea about what has happened in negotiations with Roma. Let's just see how things pan out.

I think its simple enough really, Roma want more than Levy is prepared to spend at the moment...and if we were meeting their asking price he would be Spurs bound.

I think all this other interest, Arsenal being the latest to express an ineterest apparently, is all just away of trying to get Levy to cough up - agent talk. Levy probably feels he' has the power because the player wants to come and is trying to drive the price down.

Extremely risky if thats the case given our need for an upgrade.

.

The thing is, we have no idea if Vucinic is even open to a move to us. He, nor his agent, have ever mentioned us as a destination during this window, and his previous comments regarding a move to Tottenham were derisory in nature.

Contrarily, his agent has explicitly mentioned in a positive light both Juventus and Manchester United.

Sometimes things are just as they seem. I don't think he's coming to us.

i agree. rossi and his agent too going along same lines. all they talk about is stuff from other teams etc but no mention of us. Like i said at very start we are way down food chain and have to wait our turn till strikers wait it out for top wages.

I think we have to resign to the fact that when we do not sign anyone early (like Modric), it will happen only on deadline day..all down to our poor attraction to star players who only sees as a last straw as well as DL's habit of penny pinching. So why don't we all just come back after the window has closed?

So The Journalist info on N'Zogbia medical is wrong... thought his main source was villa, so i wouldnt want to judge his spurs source.

but if he is right about they have the medical place booked can we hope its for hutton and co?

His agent? who has just about mentioned everybody else and there is a reason for that.

He may not want to come...yes, but he may want to come...its possible and the fact that POTL has confirmed we were in negotiations suggests he was receptive to the idea of coming, even if only as an option - it suggests interest. Players are sounded out before real negotiations commence.

POTL for me is a very good ITK, so I'm inclined to believe we were in negotiations for Vucinic...had it been others, apart from Peanut, I wouldn't attach such weight to the info.

Anyone know if there's been any itk re: Defoe to Newcastle?

just a story in tmrw's Mirror. Only seen the headline, so not sure if there are any real quotes from actual sources (probably not) but I think they're saying around 10 mil, which would seem about the right price to me.

this time last year defoe was worth double that at least...

I'd take £10milmfor him right now....

....except for the fear that a replacement looks nowhere near happening.

I posted on Sunday that my toon mate who goes on all their forums is 100% sure they are signing Erdinc for 6.5m so I guess that might scupper JD.

Between clubs. Who would he train with? Villa are in Asia.

He's probably investing or partying or something. It's only a 6.5 hours flight so he could be back in England already.

So, the info is wrong, unless it is right? Good work.

As I say above, CNZ could have easily got a flight back for today. And even if he didn't, you're right, they could have booked the facility for other reasons. We've certainly booked medicals at Holly House without transfers occurring in the past.

Sevilla's manager says there's no talk with Gio or Spurs about a transfer.

Which is good if the bid from Udinese is true.
