Not really. Bassong wants to leave because he's 5th choice when everyone is fit. We've been lucky to have him but completely understandable that he wants to leave. Palacios has been excellent for us bit we've upgraded in Sandro and I don't think anyone here could've known how awesome Sandro would be. There's nothing at all saying we're trying to sell Defoe (or Naughton for that matter), leaving Crouch, Keane and Krankie. And even then Harry has said he doesn't want to sell Crouch. I know Harry fibs but still, we don't know anything until it happens. But if you're anti anything enough, you can always make it seem a lot worse than it is... ;-)

It's a good point, well made. Krankie wants to leave and Keane was on loan so knows his days are numbered.

So...

Citeh won't sell Adebayor to us (and we won't pay his wages)

Newcastle are ahead of us in the race to sign Forlan

Blackburn have the highest bid for Vucinic

Three letters spring to mind.

W T F!!!

Come on, this can't be an acceptable state of affairs can it?

it can be with spurs board and levy in charge but we have some right shit within the the squad that we are going to have some job to get rid off. people talk about villa qpr fulham taking players. i cant see it myself. cant see players leaving till last minute so where does that leave us?

If he knows that however much he agitates for a move, ne's going nowhere, then it's up to him to knuckle down and act like a grown-up. If he doesn't, the Club will stilll have all its other key players, even if Luka is on the bench or out of the squad for a time. If he goes, then others will want to leave as well. That's the danger, not Luka having the hump. We start from the position where he has at the very least allowed it to be made clear that he wants to leave for CL Football. Him pretending he's changed his mind for no reason might make you feel better, but frankly tp me that would be all hogwash. I repeat, what is vital is that he is not allowed to leave, not that he's a happy bunny, because whatever he says he won't be to begin with.
He has to be made an example of, plain and simple. Leby can't back as he will look ridiculous and no chairman on earth will ever respect him again. We let Berba go, but if he'd stayed and not played, I doubt he would have got his big move as attitude really does count.
If this is true, IF, then Modric has turned his back on a lot of people and lost all integrity. Not longer than a month ago his agent and himself were harping on about how he wasn't going anywhere, he was happy bla bla.
Such a shame but it seems that money really is the only matter that carries any value these days.
And about the wages, even if he was on 40k a week, that's 80k a month, close to a million a year AFTER TAX - surely he can survive on that. And if he is worried about getting injured and ending his career, well then you should have gone to school mate.

If this is true, then I can understand why Modric would want to leave (don't believe he would hand in a TR though). So let's hope its not and that the management is making sure to communicate with our biggest names.

Never understood why some people cream themselves over Ibrahimovic, one of the most overrated players in Europe

The first 2 parts are the latest ITK, while the 3rd is attributed to the Roma Sporting Director (from the Vucinic thread).

That all sounds like a typical spurs transfer window

What ITK linking us with either? I just looked and don't see much. I see a couple of negative posts regarding Eto'o...including Archie and Peanut categorically laughing the latter off.

Pretty sure POTL is suggesting we have at least tried for Rossi, and sure some itk said both Levy & Harry want Rossi. Sure there has been itk on Eto'o too, althought it has been laughed off by credible itk. I think we should all wait til September 1st, see who they have bought in, then criticise/praise/suck off* Harry and Levy (delete where appropriate)

(Btw I deleted that post almost straight away as I shouldn't be criticising people on this board and its sunny outside and didnt wanna add more negativity when there seems to be lots of frustration around)

*situation may be necessary should Rossi/Eto'o, Adebayor and Leandro be bought in.

I don't mind losing out on players to the top 4 and other big european clubs, but Newcastle and Blackburn? Really?!

Do we actually want to be a top 4 club or do we want to be like Everton, nearly doing it and running short of cash to prevent the next step. I feel it's getting close to putting your money where your mouth is time, especially if we lose out to these sort of clubs without making the couple of big striking signings every spurs fan and most of the other teams fans know we need.

Rant over (for now).

Ok I get the message...

Just noticed both replies were to you. Thought there were multiple people of the same opinion!

It's not my fault though. The card on my fridge pack of Stella has split so I have to drink them all tonight!
