Here is todays thread.

Todays media stories

Fazio - Everton to bid 5m
Lamela - In talks with Milan according to daddy
Berahino - Another bid to go in. Yawn.
Ian* - We're 'considering' making a move

*Illarramendi but who wants to spell that all the time?

Now get thee hence to each individuals players threads to comment. Run! Run like the wind.

I feel the time is now right to ask that Berahino fee chat etc now also moves into his thread. Lets keep all the conspiracy nutters in one place :p

NEWSFLASH! - On deadline day we will be running out usual 'live ticker' thread, updated with ITK and media news as we get it.

Oh and totally unrelated, my old chap grew by 3mm over the last week. At the projected rate of growth at current Bank of England interest rates, I should have my thirteenth inch by October 2017. For those of you who have rather small tallywhackers (and I know that's quite a few of you) my book, 'A Bigger Sword - Oh my Lawd' will be hitting bookshelves on Sept 2nd. I will be doing a booksigning tour. #hung

Going back to ITK, there is a rumour doing the rounds that the WBA and Spurs chairmen will shortly be the subject of a massive exclusive in 'The Sun'…..I have no firm information as to what the story is about but the headline 'Levy smokes the pipe of Peace' is a bit worrying.

Whatever it takes to get the deal done is what I say.

And finally……..Yesterday Mrs A&C asked me to get some of that spray that will make the curtains smell nicer.

Dunno why she kicked off when I came home with a can of femfresh?

In Asier thread, Marca (which trumps any ITK on RM matters) has negated the Ian status above already this morning. It's like waking to a kick to the crotchal region rather than a cuppa. Both effective. Only one hurts a bit more. :(

What was turning out to be a brilliant window, is slowly but surely turning out to be a disastrous one. Given that we need to get into the Champions League, we have sold plenty of options from the bench, we are now very limited to fight a campaign on multiple fronts, even if some players weren't up to the mark in the league, they could have been used in other competitions. A few injuries would leave us in a very sad state of affairs.

Our transfer window needs a bit of femfresh.

A busy few days ahead for the bald headed wheelbarrow wallah.

Well that amounts to a total growth by October of 13½ inches so extrapolating backwards means that right now it must be about ½ an inch. Concave.

This can only be a cryptic. Which of our targets has a 13 inch dong?

Or it could be Madrid's way of forcing us to make a clear offer? It says that it's only a loan deal with an option to buy at €17m at the end of the season.

I take ITK with a pinch of salt and until anything is official, I take newspapers (especially Marca!) with a pinch of salt.

Don't just paste what they said in Spanish. Please translate it!

I think that the reason this feels like a great start to the window was because we have unloaded a few players we were unhappy with rather than for what we have bought already.

Please bear in mind I am writing this after 3 games when it is unfair to judge, my point only being perception.

Trippier & Wimmer, both so far unused.
Nije - young and inexperienced.
Toby - yet to help strengthen our defence.

Hopefully all will make an impact given time as I feel they are good solid signings, but definitely another low budget window so far, but hopefully a couple of signings will change my mood.

Maybe a little jealousy creeping in seeing so many "SMALLER" Teams signing much higher profile plyers than we have.

Cabbages were
Hernandez and Evans (the back up to Alderwerield) from Man Utd

Its so difficult to follow... even now you have told me the answer to the Cryptic, I still do not understand the clue. I vote no more cryptic's.

Might point to the ding dong we are apparently having with WBA
