We need someone who can dribble, create and score. We don't need Benteke. I know it was only a guess tho. We have been crying out for a Hazard esq player since Bale left and we are still yet to find one. Aurier however will be a very good signing for us if he is one of the two. Trips is just not good enough for a CL team, rotation yes, first choice no.

I know I'm in the minority, but I could see the likes of Dele and Son doing well off of the knockdowns from a battering ram option like Benteke

2 confirmed incomings I am told. And it is not Foyth, as that would be obvious. Benteke anyone? He is not one confirmed.

All reports suggestings Aurier (thank God) is done, the one one though if it isn't Foyth?...

The problem is, he won't be cheap. We have a finite transfer budget and do we really want to spend big money for a type of striker we don't really need ?

We desperately need pace up front that's where we should be targeting our limited transfer budget imo. :)

Not sure how you gleaned that from his update. I still expect Barkley to be one of the 3 in.
Because he said two confirmed incomings which wouldn't be Barkley atm after update we not sure about his match fitness would it

Two confirmed, suggesting done deals, with more to come.
All media suggests Aurier. The second one, seeing as Hercules said not including Foyth, is obviously someone further along than most would have believed. Given the comments in the Barkley thread, very much open to interpretation.
Benteke? Not sure he fits our M.O., buy just gotta wait and see how it pans out. As an out and out CF, that could/would see the end of Janssen, since previous ITK said if we added a WF he'd stay, but another CF and he'd be off.
Gonna be an interesting couple of days.

I'd be happy with Benteke as long as we don't blow our whole budget on him. When you need a goal in injury time and Poch brings on a CB instead of a forward, I'd say it's safe to assume he doesn't feel Janssen is good enough. I just got back from the game so I don't know if I've missed anything (like if anyone was injured) but that sub, and even last week where he got 2 minutes, it's seems pretty obvious that if we had the quality of Utd's back up strikers, Poch would've brought one of them on earlier.

Kane missed a couple of months last year. We do need an out and our scorer for when he's injured so I'd be ok with him. On his day he can be a beast. I don't know if Benteke would want to be a back up anyway. Of course there are better options out there but none seemingly available. And I think he'd thrive more with the likes of Eriksen, Alli, Lamela (....) behind him and our WB's supplying crosses. Just my opinion of course.
