We are now rivals so if they think selling to us would weaken them while making us stronger they would. Letting him run down his contract could therefore be more beneficial to them. So yes, professional business actually do that!

Can't agree with this mate
When and which non stoopid football club (arse aside) have done this since arsol scumbell made us look like idiots ?
And by that I mean deliberately

I think the most beautiful thing about the Martial ITK is the sheer number on the scale of "Losing your shit" that Utd fans are hitting.

They seem to be incapable of tolerating the idea of Martial coming to us :ROFLMAO:

Got to be the first time (for me) that the most entertaining part about the ITK is how rival fans are reacting to it

Put a link or quotes in the "what opponent fans are saying about us" thread.

Thing is he has long enough left in his contract that they can do that and the detriment to his future of not playing for that long would be enough for him to consider abroad in January. So if united really didn't want him to come here they could well do that.

Yep that they can but......

Then they will probably activate 2 more of his clauses international and I think 1 goal and it will cost them 15mill to prove a point and again it makes no business sense.

Im not saying they will or won't sell to us just that Utd do not strike me as a club that bin millions out of spite is all

I didn't consider those clauses. In that case I agree it makes no business sense whatsoever to force him to rot in the reserves for the remainder of his contract.

Where was the ITK that we were looking to include Toby in the deal? All I recall was that Toby had burned his bridges even though he actually wants to stay now.

I never said there was ITK saying that there would be a swap deal. Just that Toby is definitely leaving and Utd are the only team really in for him, but there is a stand off between the clubs as they don’t want to sell us Martial.

If they have softened their stance on that then you can bet it’s on the proviso that we allow Toby to go to them if they meet our terms.

Again that's just guess work and nothing from the ITK

What's the price for Martial? £60m? Exactly how are we able to stump up that? With Toby moving opposite for the same fee, it's feasible, otherwise not.

Go back and have a look at ITK updates 11, 32 & 34. Most of the info we've received so far this summer has suggested that we've got money to spend.

As per the Martial thread, he's already hit the first team goals clause, so the next one is France caps, but I think it might be 25 whilst under contract at Utd rather than career total, so there's still a way to go yet for that

I'd love Martial, think he would revolutionise our attacking options, but if ManU are going to play silly buggers, I'd want us to move on and sign Zaha instead.

The weird thing is that it would make more sense for ManU to swap for Alderweireld than to sell him elsewhere, as both clubs could set the prices at what suits them, which means ManU could get out of sell on clauses etc.

It's not information, it's rumours. Someone heard something from someone and passed it on. Information is me telling you what I had for breakfast.

Believe it when I see it. The only time we ever saw it was the season of 2 points from 8 games. I'm guessing £25m for Jack Grealish is the money we'll see. That's unless we see a high number of departures: Sissoko, Janssen, Dembele, Rose, Toby.

Our record outlay, without add-ons, is £28m. It's a fan boy spunk fest to think that's going to be doubled, at a time when we have just completed a new stadium that went massively over-budget.

I hope we don't get the usual excuses at the end of July, but history usually repeats.
