No I did get your point m8. In fear of getting a ban I'll try to make my post as diplomatic as possible. If I was to say I got some news and I'll post it say at 12:00. I become the hottest property on SC. Members would be worshiping me, kissing my ass and all sorts.................hope you got my point.

I hope I don't get banned being my birthday today. On a nicer note I got a Spurs wodden pen set from my daughter and the Spurs 61 double book which I intend to keep in it's original box and pass down to my grandson when he's 18 (that's in 16 1/2 years time)

because people like to talk shit. we've heard the same thing for the past 5 years about a "big" player coming in to surprise us all.

u got a point there. Let's hope this window proves to be different.

Possible striker? But def cb and cm

So if there is a possible 'BIG' signing it is up top

Kaka seems to fit the clues given but just does not seem possible does it? Would surely outdo the vdv deal. But why last day? Are real holding out for a permanent deal and if it don't happen then we move in with a loan deal? You scratch our back and we'll scratch yours. Now who mentioned a first refusal?

With the reported new £40m bid for Modric, Kaka could just be that big signing to replace him

Ryan, at gym with my man now, before the game.

We've asked about Kaka.

I can believe that we may ask for him on loan, but can't forsee it happening. Why would Madrid even contemplate loaning him when all they have to do is ring City and name their price? Why would Kaka even consider coming to us? A team who hasn't won the league in 50 years and has only been in the CL once, unless he used to have swinging parties with Rafael and Sylvie it is just a fairytale and we will be laughed at for even thinking it's possible.

Saying all that, I hope to god I'm wrong and could see Levy giving him £150k a week.

Kaka Rumours getting stronger.

Even if we pulled off the seemingly impossible do we really need Kaka? Especially if we get one or both of Diarra and Parker. Together with the rest of the midfield who exactly are gonna be the bench warmers? We would end up with a few very unhappy players.

Im not saying I wouldn't want a former world player of the year and don't doubt his quality, despite playing relatively poorly for a while. I just can't see that such a deal would make a whole lot of sense??

Kaka's a second striker, though. More a threat to VDV, I'd have thought (no bad thing).

A lot of ITK has been about players who suit a 4-2-3-1 much more than a straight 4-4-2. Kaka might displace Lennon in that case.

Anyway, much more so than with VDV, Kaka is the kind of player you get in without even thinking about it, then worry about how and where to play him. Not that I think there's actually any chance of it happening.

Sorry I meant that more in the sense to appease the fans after losing Modric

I'm hoping people see sense with the kaka rumours and recognise we have a very slim chance of getting him otherwise their will be some seriously depressed & angry people on Wednesday night

Madrid wont loan Kaka. Im sure they would sell for approx 30m, but then there are wages. Kaka is second highest earner at Madrid behind Cristiano. Id doubt hed take a pay cut and has said before he doesnt want to leave.
And mainly, he's on the way down. He's played like 15 games in two seasons and hasnt been to his best since Milan. Played two good matches last year but that was it.
Just saying its a massive risk to pay a big fee and big wages for.
