5am and i'm doing this. Crazy. But I just got in from taking the daughter to Gatwick so it's now or when I come out of the sleep/coma I intend to be in very shortly.

Right, lets see...............what ITK was there over the weekend?

Oooh, quite a few snippets, let's start with BEN.....

Topic: Some tension between dl and arry
Posted: Today at 4:25pm Arrys list as said before on here don't match levys ideas. Levy is trying to Discuss with arry a few options but arry adamant who he wants and yes Parker is on list of course.

Levy has been abroad last week speaking to a player no idea who but forlan was not here but arry does like forlan as well.

Anceloti is someone if Arry goes England high on his list

No question of arry leaving before next year though.

Levy would go for Rossi as they both like him as fits criteria but a very expensive deal
I love ITK from treeeeees, ITK from trees loves me

Then Archibald on SO

Don't shoot...
Fulham wants one more from Spurs (Keane + 1). He also wants to reunite with former midfielder too (the one currently playing for Man U ).
Spurs will speak to Real Madrid as we have a good communication with them...(dunno who - Benzema? Adebayor - He belongs to City)
Sunderland wants Spurs playerS.
Krankie might remain in England.
Levy will try to pull a surprise coup! Rossi, Aguero, Benzema, much like he did with VDV
Redknapp wants Drogba!

Oh and Carlo Ancelotti is in waiting for the WHL job should something happen to Harry...
Doesn't the Sunderland thing tie in with something The Goat said? I'm too tired to check........

Then another update from SO
Dazzaherring said:

Interest been shown in a few players now so fingers crossed some will leave and make space in the squad for 1 or 2 incomings

Keane and Jenas - Fulham interested in both

Gio is wanted by sevilla and roma

Bentley apparently been touted about but no takers to date

Bassong is wanted by a few clubs - could potentially go out on loan

Wilson could leave on a season loan with view to permanent much like the ohara deal as its a great way of getting round a full medical
Then POTL decided not to be TOOOOO cryptic
POTL said:

Etoo and Forlan at the Lodge?

Can someone get them both a cup of tea then please. .
Just to clarify, POTL replied to a post saying Forlan and Eto'o were at Spurs lodge. He dismissed this with the above post and a no way smiley.

Yesterday began with someone on FTL who has a mate.......

Mate of mine is a good Jewish boy with a season ticket in Paxton. His Dad runs an estate agency in Hampstead. He reckons Adebayor has been viewing properties in NW3.
So where do we reckon he's going to lay his hat then? Hampstead or Primrose Hill?

Then another mate, this time the mate of an ITK

Modric going..adamant he's leaving and simply won't play..that badly he wants to go..
club already looking for a replacement..
and yeah he's also been told adebayor..
just passing on.."

Scout former COYS poster
The Modric stuff would be totally out of character IMO but then again Football is full of surprises.

Finally SC's Tommo told us that........

Interest in Adebayor is there, City don't want to sell to us, we won't pay anything near his current wage.

Also told that we are not the front runners to sign Forlan. It is believed that Newcastle have the greater interest.
This means Newcastle are more interested in signing him than we are. Not which is the biggest club or who he'd rather sign for.

I'd like to know why is it that adverts for Durex Condoms are banned until after the 9pm watershed, yet Tampax see it fit to ruin my appetite every fucking mealtime?

And finally.........History always tells a story.

Which is why you must clear it before the wife uses the internet.

Have you donated to SC yet?
No? Then do so now please.

Outstanding dedication to duty (on both fronts) A&C. Great summary as usual.

Today, I expect tabloid talk of both Bale and Modric now leaving. I know they have to sell "newspapers" but I'm convinced at least some of these stories are because many of these hacks have an anti-Spurs agenda. As many are Wet Spam fans, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

Thanks as always form the roundup A&C.

Now back to sleep and we'll see you the same time tomorrow.

If, and it seems to be building into a big if, we can get Adebayor and a big signing, to go with Leandro Damiao now or in Jan, and ship out some of the chaff that would be a cracking window.

Its a toss up as to what's more urgent, showing ambition by buying a top striker and Leandro or trying to get good prices for the chaff. Since its not my money I lean to the former, but that's why I'm a fan and not a super rich team owner

From BBC Gossip: -

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas will make a double raid on Tottenham with a £60m bid for midfielder Luka Modric and the left-sided Gareth Bale.
Full story: Caught Offside

DL- So which 1 is this the opening bid for?

Plus Liverfool to bid £20m for Lennon apparently.

Well, if I was a super rich team owner I'd say that we'd preferably sell the likes of Palacios, Jenas, Kranjcar, Bassong before bringing in Parker, Marin, Johnson (the defender) etc., but that a marquee signing - and specifically a marquee striker signing - is someone we'd get in when we can, even if it could mean a few quid less for Defoe/Crouch.

And I dont really know if history shows we sell before we buy, if anything it shows the other thing - that's why we have such a massive squad. We picked up Piennar because he was available, for instance, without having sold Bentley/Kranjcar whom he quite obviously was bought to replace. We we've done however is sell so late we don't have time to buy; Berba the case in point.

The ITK so far also indicate that we are working on quite a few deals: Leandro, another striker (Ade, Rossi, Forlan), Parker and a new centreback, while at the same time trying to shift quite a few players. These things normally take a long time - just look at O'Hara - so the buying and selling activity will naturally overlap..

The bulk of the ITK and stories in papers about us are ones regarding us selling our star players. (or dead wood from ITK info)

I really hope we can shift out the players we WANT to see as soon as possible and start making some big signings which might shift the perception of us from a club that had its moment in the sun and now will lose its best players to one that is hungry for more and will mount an even stronger challenge next year.

I swear Liverpool didn't get this much press about their stars forcing moves the year they dropped out of the CL or even now when they have failed to reach it for a second season running.

Hopefully going my harrys remarks yesterday we see a few more movements in players going out. Keane, gio, wilson, bassong & krancjar. We really need to start getting in a few players soon if we want them bedded in before the season starts, its only six weeks away.

Thats because bar Torres and Reina they have nobody who anyone would want to sign, and look what happened to Torres, leaving only Reina to have bullshit written about him and he has been linked to arsenal.

Isnt that because they have demosntrated ambition and the fact that they clearly have funds available (so dont need to sell)?

The quality of their signings and value for money are open to debate but the fact remains that since their spot of good fortune in getting a ludicrous amount of money for Torres, they have reinvested it (and more in Carroll, Suarez, Henderson) and are currently attempting to sign Downing.

How much money have we spent in the past few seasons though?

And why wouldn't people assume we were more flush than normally on the back of our first ever CL campaign?

Surely we have demonstrated in the days since Harry took over we are not a selling club and our ambition is to establish ourselves as a CL outfit.

The stories should be about which world class striker we are after and which clubs will buy our deadwood not whether or not we will lose our best players (because every statement coming out the club as indicated we do not need and will not sell them)

who gives a monkeys about where the show pony bentley will go. or who cares about hutton or bassong really. that does not seel newspapers. harry is a club 2 years and he has made us tronger, better and a pretty proper team for first time in over 20 years so from press , other managers trying to upset the progress only going out and spending money on big name players and developing even more puts an end to their bullshit imo
