You are right. That is exactly why we have just upgraded and invested loads in the academy and training facilities(not to mention the outlay for the new stadium). Totally bizarre people don't get this. ;)

new training ground is overplayed .... almost an expected these days for a club with any inkling of competing at the top.
A shiney top new player will expect this, but getting him to the club depends on meeting the clubs fee and his wage expectation as simple as that. He isnt going to be swayed by the fact we have a better sauna or outlook from the gym than an equivalent club and that sauna or outlook isnt going to be material in making an existing player any better. The point being the training centre is not a revenue generator in itself its an expected at the level we want to compete at ... with money paid in fees and wages still the absolute key factor.

This is the actual tweet to clear it up. Just opinion.

How any spurs fan@can say bolasie isn't an improvement has no football knowledge! End of!

It's a bit embarrassing/bit of a shame really that one of the more well-known ITK's has such cringeworthy opinions of players, fellow fans, and uses phrases like 'End of!'.

Bolasie is a joke of a footballer, and to declare that not only is he better than what we've got, but also that if you don't agree you've 'got no football knowledge' is the kind of shitty knuckle-dragger opinion you hear down the pub.

Not a surprise coming from you mate!

But no, when you say 'lots and lots' would disagree with me, I don't think so. Well, not proportionally. Maybe as pure numbers - e.g. thousands of Spurs fans might disagree with me, but millions more probably wouldn't. That's lots, but not many, if you see what I mean.

I go to Palace 5-10 times a season and he's a mess of a player. There's raw talent there but he's 26 years old, not some 17 year old potential wonderkid who needs refining into a finished product.

I'm also good friends with a professional coach who used to play for Palace before injury ended his playing career, who now does work with their youth players, and he laughs out loud every time he watches Bolasie play (he's the reason I get to go there so often, that and Selhurst Park is about ten minutes from where I live).

He's a proper joke of a player, a real shambles who can produce the most incredible moment of apparent genius once every hundred games, but spends the other 99 running off the pitch and bumping into people. He's like if you stuck Atouba on the wing and jacked him up on speedballs just before kick-off.

Bolasie is just another Zaha. Nice bit of trickery now and again but better being the big fish in the small pond. He's also 26 - far too old for us the way our strategy is going. We can do better.

Also for the record, I am a Spurs fan with some football knowledge. And that's the end of that so there.

Wish I could post multiple winner ratings

It's a bit embarrassing.
What's embarrassing is that something that was double blatantly just an opinion finds its way over here just because an ITK said it. And worse, even discussed at all.

This isn't ITK its his opinion and whatever one thinks of that, its got no place being either reproduced or discussed in this thread.

Not going to put this in RO, but there was talk on SO about Villa signing Ayew and how it would impact Adebayor.

Jasper responded "Jordan Ayew is more a winger than a striker. Does not deter their bid for Ade."

So it's more onion than itk, but I will post here because he was trying to assuage people's fear that Ayew would scupper any potential Adebayor deal.

Also, in his post that did make the RO, there was some narrative. I couldn't find this as I viewed the thread. But Jasper had responded to a much longer post, quoting it, with the line we see in the RO

I think the berahino deal will be very good.

Werner makes sense as he can play both flanks and also just off the main striker.

Krammer is a good young midfielder and covers the squad positions vacated by the trio who have left.

McCarthy is obviously a serious target. However i cannot see us coming up with a deal if Everton hold out for the fee being mooted.

I am so much happier with this window and how we are going about it. No moire silly interests in players who will cost too much and will never actually sign.

Instead young energetic players who can play in a variety of roles and all have a resale value.

Much more like it.

Perfectly summed up on all points. I love Tim Sherwood, and as I said how long can WBA resist their player's wishes. Looks like we will have an exciting week with ins and outs. Hopefully both forward and midfield covered for now.

So the "perfectly summed up" is where we get a bit of narrative as it reiterates much of what we believe about players of interest. And I find myself noticing the players not being mentioned and wondering if that has meaning. Might not

Hopefully this will be helpful to some of you in actually discussing the ITK.

So hope that helps.

True dat, and there it shall cease. Sorry I'm usually ok at not getting drawn into the off-topic stuff in here.

A few posters had been surmising that Gards's comment was ITK and had been misquoting what was said. I only posted it to clarify that it wasn't ITK and stated that it was just opinion, but it was bad judgement so apologies for that.

It's my bad. Early morning posting is just as dangerous as drunk posting.

So according to Jasper this is sound analysis of where we're at.

I can't reconcile this with the supposed pursuit of McCarthy and Kramer. They will both cost too much. It doesn't matter whether they are young, energetic or whatever- it matters that their clubs don't want to sell and particularly in Everton's case if the Russians do stump up for Stones.

Levy might try to structure a deal which their Chairmen might liken to buying a washing machine on HP, as the Real President once accused him of when infamously pretending to buy Morientes.

But my money's on Levy's half-empty wheelbarrow returning to the vault half-empty- certainly as far as £25m midfielders go.

Delighted to be proved wrong.

I think you need to look a little closer to home to notice "a joke of a player". Try any of the ones who the club are looking to move on or have left already!

Bolasie has had some good games and poor games. Sounds familiar, I too do not think he'll add any more to our squad but there's a way of saying it!

Your response is just ridiculously inflammatory, arrogant and totally irrational.
