Surely most scenarios benefit us in some way? (as long as Levy pays up): Chelsea sign Zaha and swap Martial for Willian then Hazard probably leaving, if Chelsea only go for Zaha then we could get Martial or finally, we just get Zaha

To add to this - Our new payscale aligns with theirs now. Top earners on £200k (Kane/Hazard), other key players on £100-120k.

Chelsea missed out on a lot of targets last year and there's all this stuff with Abramovich's visa.

Now Chelsea can probably offer Wilf more signing on fee/loyalty bonus but our weekly offer should be the same. If he picks Chelsea because of their history of trophies then fair enough, or maybe a guaranteed start with Hazard/Willian surely off.

Aside from those 3 things (assuming fee agreed) then the rest is largely in our favour. I'd imagine as a homegrown PL player he'd hold Poch in high esteem, the chance to play in that sexy new stadium, CL football this season, the almighty Harry Kane and other star men (poss except Toby) all staying, we're attractive.
Yeah but Chelsea pay a lot more players that sort of money.

The thing that we have most in our favour is what happened at Man U.

I can't get over how pessimistic people are. I guess it's deep rooted after years of hurt in the past. People really need to let it go. We're a top club now and there's every reason to be excited. How anyone can be so convinced he'll choose Chelsea is beyond me. We beat them at Stamford Bridge and now we're going to beat them to Zaha. It's happening guys, fap away on this fine Friday.

They do at the minute - but I’d imagine the offers on the table for Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Dembele (we offered him a deal, just not enough years for his liking), Alli and Eriksen fall into this category to go along with already having Lloris, Kane and possibly Son in that region.

Well said that man.

There's so much working in our favour. Chelsea are still a bit of a mess. There are no guarantees that they can progress with Sarri. By comparison Spurs have only been going one way under Poch, whom everyone knows is a brilliant, genuine, honest Manager and we have a beautiful new stadium that we're going in to that makes Selhurst Park look like a garden shed and Stamford Bridge look like Selhurst Park ;)

Clearly then Zaha is the preferred WF option and our seriousness this time in matching Palace’s evaluation indicates this is a priority area for Poch. So, if he chooses Chelsea, I’m assuming this area remains a priority. On the balance, I’d prefer Martial but that deal seems overly complicated and not getting either would count as a disappointment.

After all this about backing Poch and getting him the players he wants, it'd be a real kick in the teeth if Levy actually went out and agreed a fee with Palace only for Zaha to chose Chelsea

If he chooses Chelsea over us then I wouldn’t want him anyway bc it would prove he’s only motivated by money and he’d probs leave us the first chance he gets

To be fair he could chose us for reasons other than money and still leave us the first chance he gets.

Our Stadium is better
Our training ground is better
Our squad are younger, hungrier
Our coach is better
We are in the CL
The structure of our club is infinitely more stable at present

I honestly think apart from wages a young player like him would be mad to join them over us at this point in time. And i don't think there would be much in the way of wages between us at all.

I hope so. Would feel better about it if more had signed!

For the first time ever, I will be stunned if he chooses Chelsea over us.

Let's not forget the ITK that his agent apparently loves Poch/Us....I'm sure I remember that being said by Breezer??
Yep! I know for a fact his agent would choose us every day of the week. Loves Poch and knows how highly Poch rates his client and how long he’s wanted him at Spurs.

No idea about Chelsea offer but it would have to be mega. Let’s see if Zaha sticks with South London or finally comes to WHL. I have my fingers crossed.

Didn't we mess Palace about last summer, or at least low-ball Zaha with our wage offer? If so then you can't really blame him for not going to us. Let's hope that Ali's right on Chelsea's financial chickens coming home to roost.
