I was about to say since we've had info of two bids being accepted from two different sources (Goat and Gards) it's likely that it's true, however thinking about it, it's very possible that both the Goat and Gards are getting their info from the same source...

It's also possible that the Goat info is from Gards.

There was ITK a while back - no idea what number post, that said because if the way we had dicked him around in the past that he would choose others over us. Hoping that’s changed now. He also posted on Twitter “today’s the day I make a change of everything” so we should know soon ?

Don't the mods confirm the different itk sources? Can't help but think if they have RO'd two seperate itk's they might be different sources.

I honestly think apart from wages a young player like him would be mad to join them over us at this point in time. And i don't think there would be much in the way of wages between us at all.

Regardless of where it might appear the direction they are heading where is Zaha more likely to win medals and earn money?

Judging by what Breezer said, him and his agent seem to be a massive fan of poch and his way of running a club.

Tie that in with the fact that we can now offer him around the same wages as what Chelsea can offer him, and I'm calm(er).

We can compete with Chelsea in every conceivable way over this protracted transfer for Zaha - different circs compared to the Willian deal.

If however Hazard and Willian leave then the trump card for Chelsea will be regular first team football and that shouldn't be discounted for Zaha's stage in his career but financially I don't see any reason why we can't offer parity.

I would recommend not getting too optimistic about Zaha coming to us. If it happens, fantastic, but don't buy it just yet.

You’re a pessimist

But this is probably the first time in over a decade that we can compete on anything approaching an even footing with Chelsea for a player and because of this I am a lot more optimistic of us getting Zaha.
