I think Hertyid and a couple other ITKs have mentioned emphasis is on homegrown and probably tangentially related to outgoings we anticipated but now seem to not be on the cards or more complicated than expected.

I’m guessing we’d planned on shifting some of the non home-grown players by now. Although risky as we would clearly need to shift three before we can bring one in (assuming Ali Z didn’t get the data from Wikipedia in which case the numbers could be out by approximately 100%)

So if none of these unwanted players get moved, they just can't make any moves outside buying home-grown players? Will this continue to future windows? Are they just going to have to wait until some of these contracts run out (Jannsen, NKoudou, Sissoko) before being able to purchase anyone abroad?

It's a max of 17, but it also seems to signal we are not moving any of the non-HG players like Sissoko or Llorente (or Toby).

Also seems odd then they we have not been able to nail down Grealish

Just accept loans for deadwood, no point crippling yourself in the transfer window for players who won't get any minutes

what a load of bulls**t, you can have who you want poch just home grown, under 26, no more than 20 mill up front and you wont get him till deadline day.

Maybe a lack of activity on the outgoing side has brought us to focusing on home grown players only, now. It’s a bit of a risk (with as little time remaining, as there is) signing a non-hg player if we potentially can’t register them or another in the squad.

Surely we could just sign a non HG include them and then not include Janssen, nkoudou and one other.

It’s harsh on them but if we really wanted to we could get someone in or lower our price for outgoings.

I’m cool if poch is cool at the end of the day, it’s just funny

So what I glean from this is we are finding it extremely difficult to shift Sissoko, Janssen, GKN and Llorente? Color me shocked

Strange thing with Wilf is that United will be due a fair chunk of any transfer, so in a weird way... it might get a bit faffy in terms of any other potential deals, perhaps with any Zaha move actually getting intricate with any other transfers.

If we wanted to get past this HG thing we easily could, must mean Poch is relatively happy with the squad + zaha/grealish so I’ll support that I suppose

If we really are only after homegrown pkayers we need to stop dicking about and really go for zaha and grealish. Coz I can’t think of anyone else we’ve been linked with that falls into that category

With that ITK from Ali, it basically means we are not strengthening or upgrading on part of the squad that we really needed to buy a top class player; CM.

That would be a bit shit.
