Not knocking you but verts looked more motivated than at anytime last season and looked like he was enjoying his football again, on this basis, and @JJetset and @rebrab confirming a new contract, I just can't see it. I remember you used to post quite a bit of info, why are the mods not backing you anymore?

We simply prefer ketchup to Brown's Source.

The sale has been agreed?

Quick! Run! oh woe oh woe! What are we going to do?

The BSoDL have been telling me to "be careful what I wish for" and that the "grass isn't always greener" for yonks now. Oh woe! Oh woe! A rope!, a rope! A rope and a ricketty chair!

I was at a business lunch today and got chatting to one of my colleagues who I have met a few times previously. Despite being a chelsea season ticket holder, he is a decent sort of chap.

Anyway, the guy who has the season ticket next to him is employed by spurs in some capacity. They were speaking at the chelsea v leicester game at weekend and the guy who works for spurs said he had been asked to attend an urgent staff meeting scheduled for today to discuss the future of the club. Apparently it is well known within the club that a sale has been agreed to a new foreign owner following the recent progress with the recent legal stuff for the new stadium.

I will see if i can get anymore when i see my colleague again in the next 3-4 weeks.

Could be bollocks. But i trust my colleague enough to believe him. Something for one of the ITKs to dismiss nonetheless.

I know the consensus is that ENIC has always looked to turn this into a profit via sale. But I am starting to wonder if they are interested in that all. I kind of feel that they are here for the long haul and that this is a pet project because Levy actually loves the club. We fail to realize that sometimes. While he can be a cheap bastard at times, I do think that he cares about this club and has no interest in moving on. He's made his fortune and now has his dream job. Just an opinion, and with my track record, he'll sell tomorrow. But I think ENIC/Levy will be in charge for a long time. Much to the chagrin of many, I guess I should add.

BSoDL will have to go into my Lexi*SCon article.

In case you don't know it stands for "Blissful Sanity occurring during Levy-era" :p

You would think that the club was at peak value 4 years ago while we were in the CL

So, an "urgent" staff meeting scheduled one week in advance? Hmmm...

Anyway, lets hope for some juicy itk today!

On the penultimate working day of the transfer window? Seems unlikely and unnecessary.

IF and it is a big if, this sale thing is true, I hope Levy inserts a clause that he stays on as CEO under the new owner.

He can be very frustrating at times but he is a Spurs fan and would ensure some foreign mad man on an ego trip would not destroy the club

Hasn't done Citeh or Chelsea any harm.

Yeah they have silverware and the record books will show they won that silverware but where is the satisfaction in doing it? they both just bought their titles by spending trillions, far more respect is deserved for Fergie and dare I say Wenger who won titles by finding the best youths and turning them into stars

City/Chelsea titles are shallow and hollow, meaningless, because they were bought over the counter

I think it is more likely that the buyers will insist on that clause.

Call me a sop, but I see no glory in winning with their record. Would honestly prefer to be slugging it out for fourth on English money rather than "propelled" to first on a foreign sugar daddy's coin.

Isn't most of our money sitting in a tax haven anyways? Money is money, I don't think you need to evoke any nationalism to justify the spending of it.

Yeah, that doesn't make such sense. Replace "English" with "earned" and he has a point. At the moment it has the slightest whiff of UKIP about it.
