Read the guesses on the striker and thought a bit closer to home. Checked it out and he is 23 also.

Similar profile to Berahino, young, homegrown, quick and talented.

If we can't get Berahinho I would really prefer it if we brought in a more experienced striker, even if it's for a couple of years.

We have a lot of young players, but I really think we could do with a few experienced old heads to balance it out.

Such a tricky position to fill. Harry is always going to be the main man so they either have to be versatile like Berahino or old enough to not demand a regular start.

Problem with the latter is they can get poor quickly with age and less match sharpness. Lambert and Drogba last season prime examples.

If we can't get Berahino now, as mad as it might seem, Berbatov wouldn't be a bad shout as a back up for Kane and he could teach Harry a few things about playing as a lone striker, getting involved in the play and how to hold up the ball despite not being a brick shit house like Drogba.

Iono mate, think Bournemouth would sell their star striker at this point?

Scott Parker was the last wise 'old head'. We gave been lacking that experience and leadership since.
