Understand the importance of this so much more now.

Just found out my mum has cancer of the spine, liver and lower part of the brain, obviously very advanced with no recovery ?

Thinking of you, buddy. Wishing you strength through this period.

Just doubled my donation on the back of your post.

Lots of love

Donated guys

Good luck Vic and all those who have shared their stories in this thread

If it weren't for the great people who conduct the research and the funding they get, my Dad wouldn't have had treatment a few years back

Overwhelmed by how many of you responded, thanks so much for that.

My mum actually worked in a primary school for years in and around WHL, before coming back to NI.

I'll certainly be donating.

I don't post very often but I'm a constant lurker, felt the need to send my best to Mr Pink.
Gutted for ya bud, spend as much time and give her as much love as you can, its times like this that puts things into perspective.
All the best mate.

Sorry to hear about your mom. Stay strong, mate. We’re here if you need to talk and if you need a touch of humor during this difficult time.

Long time lurker (generally don’t feel I have much to say), emerging from the shadows because of the response to Mr Pink’s reply. Puts it all in perspective, great community. Stay strong Mr P

Donated (what I could) to Vicki’s race for life

Unlikely that I’ll be able to do much direct donating to SC but might have something better if a mod wants to PM me.

Anyway, thanks for all the ITK - love this site and will try and post occaisionally

Honestly so sorry for you mate.

I took my mum for an hours walk with my dogs last night and just had the most brilliant conversation about her life in London and ireland, and her recollections of her aunts and uncles. Treasure every moment you have left together, appreciate the good times, and leave nothing unsaid. Thinking of you today.

Also a lurker for many years , only post something occasionally. Wanted to send my best wishes to Mr Pink and everyone who is effected by such sad news. As mentioned above such tragic news puts everything into perspective.

Love this site and will continue lurking.

Sorry to hear that Pinky. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and DO ask if there's anything we can do.
