I don't agree with that at all. He hasn't tried been taking his rogue shots, in fact he almost never shoots anymore. If he was a pure glory-hunter, he'd still be firing those shots and would have a strut in his step, which is the exact opposite of reality. It's been said he's one of the hardest workers in training, so along with the axing of the shooting, I think it's evidence he's just trying to prove himself. I think he just simply wants to succeed at Spurs, which can easily be confused with a glory-hunter. A player with his obvious signs of lack of confidence doesn't have the mentality of a glory-hunter, he's just trying to succeed and establish himself. Doesn't help when he's at the tremendous disadvantage of having to prove himself against the club record signing, as he undoubtedly knows damn well he has to work all the harder.
Did you not see the Sidney game ?
He was blazing shots high and wide way before we bought Lamela.
I don't think it's confidence, he wouldn't step up to take penalties if he lacked it. And he's not an eager to pleaser either, if he was he'd work a damn sight harder to get the ball back when he loses it.
He's a glory hunter. And unfortunately he's not quite got the right ammo for the job.
