The apparent change in tone from full confidence from a few weeks ago to the messages being relayed now have a left me feeling pretty pessimistic. Especially given the demands that Poch seemingly placed in public, and the fact that Liverpool have signed two quality CMs already compounds the feeling of lessons not learned..

I actually think Zaha would be a very effective signing. He is a proper game changer. I look at our 'first 18' and don't really see many game changers beyond the first eleven (barring maybe Moura) whereas Zaha is the sort of player that will come into the team and be direct and cause problems. We were crying out for a 'Zaha' against United in the semi final when Mourinho shut us out.

ITK indicating a return to the norm for our transfer business.
Tried to get business done early but all gone quiet. Same old.

I’m just holding onto the ITK that suggested Poch would only sign if guarantees were made about getting targets in.

Im shocked people who have experienced 1 let alone 8 or 9 summer windows under Enic would expect it to suddenly be any different. We will employ the same tactics towards transfers as we do every window. Why would Levy suddenly change tact with something that has worked for him so well for years.

Like others have said, the window has just opened. We will get players in when we can or when we think it’s best financially and for the team.

Big fan of Zaha, can press, link play, dribble and hold the ball in tight spots. He is quiet different from our other players, complete nightmare to play against.

Ali Z says in regards to Zaha:

City want him or Mahrez ....so could be City

And:

That has to be good news for us (Man City getting mahrez) as Zaha, Martial or Malcom are the 3 I heard he wanted (1) of.

Thanks Breezer, kind of assume of Zaha comes then Martial is very much off. As always to you and the other ITK a big thanks.

Did you see Breezer's post on the previous page basically saying 'Not sure if it’s positive news for Spurs' - which I assume means we're not signing him?

I know but didn’t say negative either just that we have made contact (next ITK) so perhaps it doesn’t happen, perhaps it does but if it does I think he will do well.

No, Breezer replied saying he genuinely didn't know whether it was positive news for Spurs or not and that there had been talks. Post has since disappeared though..

If City get both Zaha and Marhez, then what's the point the point even trying to stay competitive, when they can double our record signing for bench players. Let alone also get de Ligt.

Was wondering what happened to the Malcom link. Seems he’s not as in demand as he was 6 months ago. Personaly the only one I would take out of those three is Martial. I wonder how Pulisic fits into this. Martial is very much a wing forward who also likes to play as a forward, the other two are not.

Zaha or Martial - both will make a big difference IMO.
We need impact players who can change the game taking people on from start or being a impact sub.

Whether they would be ok to take such role is irrelevant for timebeing.
But whats blatantly obvious IMO is we lack impact players who change the game.

Seems quite scattergun to me as some of them play off the left best and some off the right best
