Now this is one I like. I think this lad is the dogs balls. Leaves Martial in the shade. He could be a brilliant inside forward, is already a great little winger and has wonderful potential as a playmaker.

That would not have been hard to do with a condom squashed full of walnuts and a gangly man child to compete against and he scored most of those playing on the left - not central. FFS sake man, he is not a CF. They are a special breed. We play with one striker. Poch is very lucky he has HK. It suits his game strategy down to a T. But when HK isn't there, we flounder. Have you got amnesia? Forgotten the dips in our season just past when HK was injured. When Son plays in that role he is almost like a false 9. A shrinking fucking violet.

Actually Llorente was a brilliant buy - if it happened 5 years ago. Instead we bought a fricken pensioner.

Agree that we probs needed Ibrahamovic type. Llorente just did not deliver.
Hope is Poch can work his magic on Martial and get him playing the Spurs way.
We do need good competition and back up for HK though priorities elsewhere!

I'm happy about this. I really rate him.

However I don't think he'll still be at Bordeaux come July, so I guess it comes down to 'how long do we pursue our main targets?'

We've been stung before on this and it needs to be handled perfectly otherwise we may find ourselves dashing around again.

Fine with me, I have seen quite a lot of him this season and I really don't get the fuss. He looks very raw and will take a lot of work.

Ffs the window has just officially opened, as per my update number 12, contracts first then signings. I expect key players improved deals to be announced soon and the first signings before WC starts.
I know we have been led to believe before, but everything is pointing to this window being different.
Just chill people if no one in by end of June then you can start to worry a bit

This really surprises me that he's the "if all else fails" option, in your opinion Herc who do you rate player wise (not transfer itk wise) as i'd have probably gone:

I recon Gazza will be an ok back-up. He did fine when called upon last season and promote 3rd from one of the younger players in the club.
