Good morning ITK freaks! Hows it hanging?

Not that much ITK yesterday, which was just as well as the thread was mainly occupied with solving The Goat's cryptics. And some light flirting.

Yesterday I learned two things.

1: A Cryptic can be made to mean almost anything
2: Fingering is back in fashion

With regard point 1, we've had some truly excellent solutions put forward to what the Goat had to say, excellent but wrong. This really does go to show how easily these things can be taken to mean literally anything.

Cryptics can also result in straight info being over analysed and i've seen blatant info turned into something it really isn't! Personally I could do without cryptics, i'm sure i'm not the only one, but on the other hand how quiet would the Transfer Window be with a good old fashioned 'whoizzit' to solve now and then?

I don't think I should go into Point number 2..........

As for what little ITK there was, well, ryantegan got the ball rolling

Were going official with a bid for Rossi. Not saying we are signing Rossi but we are gonna put a bid in. Harry says he'd be happy to come, that's gotta be a good thing. However it was also said that it's up to the chairman to do a deal.

I also think this means at least one striker is near the exit door

I'm not holding my breath on Mr Chairman doing a deal. Still, you never know.

Thrown by the question she replies 'Erm, Erm, that's called an axe wound, Daddy did it a long time ago'

The little boy screws up his face and says 'Cor......... right in the ****'

Hearts have suspended sex offender Craig Thomson. Reports are suggesting Arsene Wenger may make an approach.

And finally

I phoned my mum last night. "Hello son," she said, "What can I do for you?"

She sighed, "Don't start this again."

I screamed, "Just finger yourself, you slut!"

"Look" she said, "I've told you before. Stop ringing me at work."

I like Wilson but feel he has never been the same since their family tradegy (understandably)

A fresh challenge might be ideal for him and a decent fee for us

Sorry, wasn't back on yesterday.

The £30m for Lennon that I heard was from someone who is close to Aaron.

I don't have much confidence in it because if that was the truth I think Levy would have grabbed the cash and laughed to the bank because that is ridiculous money for him. Then again, he has said he wont sell our best players? Lennon may be hit and miss but on his game he is superb and we would only be strengthening one of our biggest rivals for a Champions League spot by giving them our best right midfielder to replace one of their strikers playing in midfield!

I would sell Palacios in an instant. Once a crowd favourite, then he lost the ability to pass the ball when his brothers body was found.

Wilson was fantastic for us when he first arrived. Immediately he joined us you could see what we had been previously missing. A tackler in midfield. Someone to hunt the ball down, which he done fantastically. Really played a big role in taking us from bottom to top half.
Since then, we are playing a different style of football. We have a lot more possession now, we move the ball a lot better. We dominate most games, reducing the need for a midfielder who is simply there to win the ball and move it on. That’s all Palacios offered, and barely offers that now on recent form. But personnal reasons are as much to blame for that as anything I believe. Sandro offers the same defensive wall, but with a much better all round game. He has Palacios' tackling ability, Zokora's running ability, and is a much better passer and reader of the game than both. Sandro, along with Huddlestone, Modric and a newbie, are our future centre midfield for hopefully years to come.
Wilson done a grea job for us, but it is time to move on. £14m is probably slightly over priced. But in French football, he'll do well. That style of player seems to work well in French fotball. How many defensive midfielders leave French football for massive transfer fee's? Essien, Diarra (Lass & Mahmadoo), Mavuba, Makelele……….. Lots more but names escape me.

Where would Modric go? and if its 3 in the middle, where does VDV go? if you say wing where does Lennon go?

I think we need to ship Wilson out but not so desprate for a replacement, we have Modric, Sandro, Hudd, Pianaar and then the links to parker. Also players who may be leaving - JJ and Niko can play CM if they are not sold

I'd put the whole amount to be funded for strikers.

Parker is not the priority.
