@Hercules has stated that there are 2 being worked on, Moura being one...and the other dependent on the selling club finding a replacement. Is it possible that this player is a striker and Llorente leaving is because we've secured the 2nd guy?

Maybe Llorente is the selling clubs replacement? The Goat would probably have worded the info different if it was a swap deal though.

Arsenal try and push Giroud to Chelsea so the Auboomerang deal can go through. Levy phones Chelsea up, and offers them a great price on Llorente as an alternative on the condition they sell Batshuayi to us. We've upgraded our backup striker, Dortmund lose their replacement at the last minute and refuse to sell, and Levy has completely screwed over the Arse.
I would not criticise Levy for anything for the next decade. So naturally, I would have to delete my SC account.

I cannot believe people are still suggesting it's anyone other than Llorente. It is so obviously Llorente.

Also, there's no way Chelsea are swapping us Batshuayi lol. He wants to go to the world cup, I think, hence game time.

Would Llorente be able to play for another PL club? I thought you could only appear for two teams in a league in a season - or did he not play for Swansea?

TBH, if we get Lucas and keep Lamela, it can release Son as the no.2 striker when needed. Also, I think if we play 2 strikers up front, Kane and Son looks good as well

What's the point in improving our attacking depth with Moura, only to ruin it again by selling Llorente?

Was injured at the start of the season -- didn't play for Swansea.

Because he offered depth and... that was about it? We never played to his strengths when he was on so, if we can get somebody better or more suitable in, let's do that.

Nah Moura with Son backup ST is a big upgrade on Llorente. Llorente hasn't been good for us at all.

I'd only be concerned if Lamela left but he's not so it's all good.

Because Llorente has given us the square root of fuck all in attacking depth. I'm sure he's a nice guy etc but Son would have been a better backup. Janssen would have been a better backup.

I've said what I can say :)

@Rob is right... tomorrow seems like a Much better day. :)

My reading of this, for what it's worth, is that there will be a surprise announcement of a new signing tomorrow, maybe in addition to Moura. I seem to recall there was a small bit of ITK earlier in the window which referred to discussions about a transfer but a name couldn't be given due to a NDA. I don't recall a Non Disclosure Agreement being quoted as being used in transfers before, but what do I know!

Then we had the three posts above. That would tend to indicate that tomorrow would be better than we expect and with "Lleaving" from The Goat it can only be either Llorente or Lloris. I just wouldn't believe Lloris as he was quoted recently that he was here for the project. So that leaves Llorente. Now Son does cover as striker, but I don't believe that Poch would want him as the only backup to HK.

So for me it Moura and 1 other striker tomorrow, my guess is someone notable. I am all agog!

If we are selling Llorente, we are getting a 2nd striker signing. No way, Lucas can make up for a loss in 2nd striker.

I just don't see how a transfer could be kept completely under wraps until an announcement by a club. I know transfers sometimes move extremely quickly (Son seemed to go from no mention at all to done in like a day) but no agent/journo/anybody getting a whiff of something and blurting it out is surely unheard of in this day and age.
