You weren't around when the Torres affair happened? Mattjb on COYS (ITK's on COYS had badges back then) said Torrres was 'done'….the fallout from that one was spectacular. This was a couple of years or so before he joined Liverpool I think. I seem to remember myself, Stoof and TSH calling him all the ****s under the sun. We were edgy back in the day.

I don't think so but am aware of the folklore. I was on 606 and people kept posting ITK from something called SC I asked what SC was and my introduction to this site was born and although I have dabbled with other forums this is home, and I've never looked back

Earliest I remember (was pre me joining SC) was @ValenciaYid on 606, which was about 2006 I believe. Though Ben and POTL were earlier weren't they?

I came here via Newsnow, too. In early 2005. I remember us all getting really excited about Edgar Davids.

Didn't the club announce on the OS that we'd agreed a deal and then there was a nervous wait to see whether he'd agreed terms?

Looking back with the hindsight we now have from the Willian disaster, it's pretty hilarious to think they did that before he was actually signed!

Distinctly remember a guy back then called BoringOldFan, not ITK but posted loads. What ever happened to him?

Well alright then, yet another bulletin for why it's been such an unusually good Spurs summer:

- Vast majority of deadwood unloaded and it's not even August
- Levy's masterstroke of planting Agent Sherwood to unload Ade seems to be nearing success
- New stadium largest in London and partially funded by one of the world's wealthiest corporations
- Werner possibly going to don the Lillywhite
- Training kits look sexy
- Just a delightfully heartwarming ITK/mods nostalgia sesh

If we can finish it off with 3 players of decent quality, this will be a great window. Really optimistic for next year. We will have a young exciting and hungry squad desperate to win things. The majority of whom have played together for years. We could put out two very good teams meaning we can rest players where last year we couldn't. Just hope it comes off and we don't Spurs it.

In all seriousness, I shamefully admit that was one of the first Spurs websites I followed, along with Newsnow, and the Goal.com Spurs board. I feel blessed that I stumbled across SC at some point in time.
