A falling out with Levy has Mitchell running for the Exit...

Why doesn't this surprise me?? :banghead:
Reading the offcial line coming out of the club (the tweets but we all know they aren't good for in here) I'd suggest that the Telegraph are over doing how bad things are. They have also (the tweets) been put up on the skysports section of the transfer centre about 10 minutes ago. Let's all try and keep this in perspective before we all go jumping to conclusions.

Wouldn't be spurs without some sort of random bollox just before a new season.
We always seem to mess shit up in August...
Hopefully the players do the business and smash Everton Saturday & hopefully this Mitchell bollox doesn't unsettle anyone important at the club.

If the club statement about Mitch going, specifically the point about "a date to be mutually agreed", is true. would that not suggest that the 'split' is more amicable than the (scumbag, parasitic, sewer-dwelling) press would have us believe?

No "immediate effect", no gardening leave...

I think with the latest news about our recruitment department jumping ship is a reflection on how hard levy seems to be to deal with and not just for other clubs but also inside our own club. I think if we go into the first half of the season as we are then we will struggle for top six or seven. With the rest of the club's round us or above us doing good business except the boomers I think we will struggle as while we have addressed two of the gaping holes in our squad I don't feel we got the wise head we need to calm things down and lift things when needed and a player that can open up defences when we are struggling for creativity. I think the football people inside the club can see what is needed to give a good account of ourselves in the champions league and maintain a challenge in the premier league but the business people who run the club aren't prepared to take the next step hence the reason for the departures. Was so looking forward to a new dawn at the club but as we are about to kick off something has to kick you in the nuts. The joys of supporting this wonderful club. COYS

Odd this Mitchell story, no rumours previously?
Also stories on the net that McKenzie is following him out of the door.

Another scouting overhaul ahead??

If Walsh has gone from Leicester to Everton, then it makes sense that Mitchell is going to Leicester. Pity. Oh well, I'm sure there are many others who can do the same sort of job.

Old head - Hugo, Toby, Jan, Dembele?
Players to unlock defences - Eriksen, Alli, Lamela, Kane, Son?
Truth is our starting 11 is top notch and extremely young with 9 or 10 players still having a lot of potential to grow into! We didn't need to touch the first XI. Back up optioms at CM and ST needed to be addressed which is what we have achieved. We are going into the new season better equipped with a stronger smarter squad than we had last season it's actually very exciting

So the team that last season had the joint best attack, the best defence, the top scoring striker and the best young player in the league. Who has recently strengthen the two weakest areas in the squad and will have the benefit of another years experience after the title chase of last year, is now destined to finish 6th/7th because we haven't signed more players?

Okay mate.
