Spot on, I'm always amazed by the amount of people who watch football, but don't really see anything...

It's not a question of judging what he's capable of. The fact of the matter is that Poch doesn't think he's up to it and has set a modest fee to get him off the books. I don't think Poch will lose any sleep over keyboard warriors sulking because they think Pritchard is the next big thing.

I don't think he's the next big thing, but I'm fairly confident he'll be back in the PL at some point in his career if he gets lucky with injuries.

Who said he was the next best thing ? Btw, Pochettino doesnt set the fee for players while selling them...
Irony - you are calling others keyboard warriors...

To be fair, the players we have moved on (including ones highly rated by us "keyboard warriors") haven't been turning up as star players anywhere else to make us think we made an error of judgement. So it seems that the decision makers have been pretty much spot on with the players chosen to seek pastures new.

If he was that good, why is he currently only linked with championship sides? Brighton and Newcastle. Secondly, I guess you think Poch and his coaching staff are clueless since they've deemed him surplus to requirements. Jog on.

Not just Poch and Co clueless but all the PL sides as well.

Oh goodie, a nice debate about Pritchard that in no way would be better suited to the player thread where it hasn't already been discussed ad nauseum...

Seems odd that a figure of £8m is being reported everywhere if we're only asking for £5m.

Fucking forensic accountants are out in force.

Poster 1: Based on my knowledge of absolutely fuck all, I think he's worth £12m
Poster 2: But hang on, based on my knowledge of absolutely fuck all, I think he's worth £8m

Give me strength.

Happens every year, amatuer accountants come out the woodwork.

"You know Levy, he screws every last pound out of every deal" "Fucking nonsense valuation. Surely he's worth £10m!"

Not necessarily talking about Pritchard as such. Just constantly amazed by people who know the way transfers and valuations work. I understand this is a discussion forum but there are some serious authorities around.

He was championship player of the season the year before last, and Ibe just sold for £15m.

In that market he should be in the c.£12m bracket

Ibe went to another PL club, and PL clubs have more money due to the new TV deal, meaning selling club can drive up the price a bit. He also had 4 years remaining on his Liverpool contract, having signed a 5 year deal in May 2015.
Pritchard is going to a Championship club, specifically one that doesn't have a massive budget.
£5 million for a player that was never likely to break into the first team is fine with me, especially if there are additional add ons.

I am thinking of starting a consumer/economics thread in general football where people can discuss things that they feel are good or poor value by index linking them against Jordan Ibe.
For example 87p for a Kit-Kat that's a load of bollocks no way is Jordan Ibe worth 17,241.379 Kit Kats.

Ojay with pritchard update: Norwich done

good move for him if true. well run club with a good manager and should be one of the favourites to come back up straight away so be a year of regular first team footie and then potentially Prem football for him.

Cheers for the whoring Dovahkiin!
