Ibe went to another PL club, and PL clubs have more money due to the new TV deal, meaning selling club can drive up the price a bit. He also had 4 years remaining on his Liverpool contract, having signed a 5 year deal in May 2015.
Pritchard is going to a Championship club, specifically one that doesn't have a massive budget.
£5 million for a player that was never likely to break into the first team is fine with me, especially if there are additional add ons.

Price can also be greatly affected by add ons, buy back and sell on fees. Maybe Ibe's deal has none of these.

Have the media picked this up at all? Yesterday they were all saying Brighton was nailed on.

Will show this ITK knows his onions if he does go to Norwich.

Parachute payments go a long way these days making it even more difficult for non relegated teams to break into top division.

Local brighton media had it before it was posted here and in the pritchard thread someone said a brighton fan told hin it was hijacked before it was posted here. No clue when ojay originally posted it though.

Pritchard is really disappointing. wanted him to succeed but obviously Poch doesn't fancy him, maybe its a size thing?

Alex is small and our team (with the exception of Danny Rose) are quite tall.
According to this from last winter (http://talksport.com/football/premi...height-smallest-tallest-2015-151111173784?p=5), we were at joint 14th place in average height. 181,5cm "tall", Stoke the tallest averaging 184,8cm. So, in fact - compared to our opponents we were among the smallest teams in the PL last season.

The whole "If Ibe went for £15M then *insert player* is worth *insert value*" is this year's most boring theme

That seems strange. I guess it measures entire squads? Because of our first choice eleven, only Eriksen and Rose are under 6'. Even relatively slight players like Alli and Lamela are big lads. Then again we don't have any huge players in that eleven either - Kane is the tallest at 6'3".
