Little bit more on Grealish. Whilst we are in talks we don’t want him playing in their first Championship game of the season. That will be the telling point where we are.

There's a really easy way of keeping him out of Villa's team on Monday...

More pertinently, if this is a few days off, it would seem Grealish isn't the 'imminent' signing that's been hinted at.

I have to say, this news has definitely drawn me back in. JJ always stays quiet until the names hit the media, and he has been exceptionally quiet this window.

I do feel a bit bad for stealing @Clamour_Kid 's thunder though

While I still have a funny, inevitable feeling that we are leaving everything a little late to get the deals done, that comment by JJ does at least give me some hope again that we have been following a plan....rather than progressing through the window in a shambolic haze of clusterfuck-ery, which is certainly the impression the majority of us have...

Here's hoping JJ is calm and confident - I trust that bloke.
