How could you miss it, Lahn, we've already sold VDV, Bale, Modders, Lennon and Sandro and brought in a troupe of octogenarian circus performers (to suit Mr Redknapp's, apparent to all, inclinations).
 I like that.

1st bid was last year, been in constant contact for going on a year now. Bid placed a few days ago. Constant negotiating between two clubs. Very good relationship.
Fee YET to be agreed though.

1st bid last year? Wow that's ITK. Or it would have been last year when it happened.

We put bids in on lots of players last summer, including Cavani, Rossi and Suarez.

Obviously none of them worked out.

If we DID sign Freidel, I honestly think I would consider killing myself.

The shame would be unbearable.

Parker is simply an upgrade on Jenas, O'Hara, Palacios and Huddlestone. It means we can rest either of Sandro or Modric without taking a drop in quality.

Plus free up the combined wages to pay the wages of that new marquee striker we all want so badly.

American goalkeeper Brad Friedel will look to keep his English Premier League record consecutive matches streak going next season with Tottenham.
Fox Soccer reported on Thursday night that Friedel has reached a deal with Tottenham after his contract with Aston Villa expired. Friedel is expected to take over as Tottenham's starting goalkeeper, replacing Heurelho Gomes. Friedel joins Tottenham on a free transfer. He will be introduced at White Hart Lane on Friday.
Friedel, 40, joins a Spurs side that will compete in Europa League next season, and will be trying to return to the Top Four after finishing out of the UEFA Champions League places this season.
What do you think of this move? Think Tottenham is making a smart decision signing Friedel? Curious to see where Brad Guzan will wind up?

Parker will be a good signing...upgrade on Jenas.
I thought we would have kept Palacios too but looks like he's going to Italy.
Jenas is interesting some PL clubs too.
Friedel imo is not the GK we need - Given would have been better.
That Brazilian Lad should be ours by August.

Friedel I can understand but Parker?

You seriously telling me you would have Palacios or Jenas over Parker?

We're not spending 10 mil on a player to be our 4th or 5th choice central midfielder...

Bring back Kasey Keller - he's the same age as Friedel and used to be ahead of him in the national team pecking order.

I cant believe Levy would sanction 10 million for Parker.

It makes no business sense at all.

Ha ha. Kasey Keller. If I didn't laugh I'd cry. Let's just get the young Belgian kid and take a punt on him if we want a change between the sticks
