Cometh the hour, cometh the man. All we need to know is when that hour might be and we'll all rest a little easier. So welcome to todays round-up, fix yourself a nice cup of java and put your feet up.

There wasn't that much ITK yesterday, which was surprising after the recent glut but you take what you get and here's what you got...........

First up was Madrid Spur on Diarra and Clauses

Been told that there is a deal being worked on for Lass...but been told that each window for 2 yeas I think!

Anyway...its Madrid who are pushing for a Bale "clause" we haven't offered. So far we are refusing.

Lass deal is not dependent on Bale
Interesting stuff

Then POTL on Hutton and Keane

Current negotiations going on regarding Hutton.
He should be a Villa player sooner rather than later.
Daniel trying to drive the price up as much as possible. SHOCK!
AMc likes Keane as well- but not at the price Levy has offered him.
No cryptic.....can't compute.........what does this mean?

Our final piece of ITK comes via Akqayid

Ok let's add some things today to reel you all back on track
Redknapp wuld walk over glass for addy, DL has/is trying. Maybe Madrid buy and loan him to us? Maybe? Maybe he takes a cut and we buy him
Guy the salary thing..... There is a TEAM cap, same as any business. If say for ewxmple we sold 4/5 big paid earners we could justify the larger ones
Also our bonus structure is extremely good. Things such as goals, assists, clean sheets, matches played, matches won etc. They add up. And better than most others, SOME players don't like it. Much like the real world where you get 100k basic and 10% bonus is much easier than 50k basic BUT double your salary in bonus.
Diarra is ongoing, he has choices, his agents met 2/3 other clubs. Hutton is good as next out the door- the journalist is correct about this and Jenas, although JJ doesn't want the move north
Modders - going nowhere.
Cheers

I've been sat here hours waiting for the plumber to come. I think the wife is enjoying it too much, so next time i'm paying cash.

In other news:

The Daily Mirror reckon that Manchester City are trying to sign Tottenham's winger Aaron Lennon in a swap deal for striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Metro would have us believe that Tottenham have stolen a march on their main rivals, rumoured to include Arsenal and Manchester United, in the race to sign Joey Barton on a free transfer by instigating the first talks with the Newcastle United midfielder.

As there isn't any ITK on either story, please direct your comments on the above to the relevant threads.

"Do you know what I'd really like?" said the wife, "remember those shoes I saw when we were shopping last weekend for my dress, well I'd really like..."

"Say no more" I replied

"Cheers babe, are you going to get them for me?" she asked.

"No" I said, "your voice is getting on my tits, just say no more."

HAVE YOU DONATED YET? WELL HAVE YOU?

SC needs your help! Do you sit on here spamming the life out of the thread? Is this the first thing you log onto when you get to work in the mornings? Then please help us keep it going by making a donation!

EVERY LITTLE HELPS!

Great round up as ever A&C. I'm starting to think that you may actually be Dracula - you never sleep. Fingers crossed for some exciting news today.

I hope so I'm getting tired of all the depression . In all honesty I still think we have a good enough squad to get 4th again we just needed to finish off the smaller teams last year .

Our strikers all can't be as poor as last season so that would e a big improvement! Still want a new strikers and I will be happy though

Just quoting it to confirm to myself that I did actually ask it.

Thought I was going potty there for a minute :)

We've left it so late now that we're bound to start against Everton with a lot of familiar faces. If we were to buy Adebayor or Berbatov, they MIGHT go straight in to the line-up, even without playing a single pre-season game (perhaps Diarra, too). But I can't see the likes of Affelay, Llorente or any of the others we've been linked to being chucked in the deep end.

Hopefully Dos Santos will be off today/tomorrow. Maybe Hutton as well. Other than that I can't see a great deal happening this week

Unless we drop our prices I can't see others going, think there is interest in them just we scare them off.

I can't see us selling a lot of our home grown players though, we still need some!

I didn't think Santos was anywhere near to going? Hutton looks most likely in the next few days, woopee.

No A&C. Not good enough. We don't just need to know when the hour might be, we also need to know which position the man who cometh plays in, and who he is, and whether he's yellow or blue !

Oh, and I almost forgot, we also demand that more than one man cometh... and that more than one man goeth.:snooty:

I think now that the clause about paying Barca has expired we'll move him on quite quickly.

Now that we save giving Barca a mind boggling 600,000 euros all Barca will do is increase their price for Afelley by £600,000 euros plus a couple of million euros just for good measure

It wouldn't be a surprise to me in the slightest if we lost on on potential deals that we've got lined up, ready to go, if we keep demanding ridiculous figures for our 'deadwood'.

I just can see Diarra losing patience, waiting for us to free a squad place up due to asking for some unreasonable fee for Robbie Keane (that's assuming Diarra is waiting on us)

Sometimes I just wonder if Levy realises that his need to haggle for the top price, sometimes costs us in other ways.

I think the reported 16m double bid for Palacios and Crouch is a fair opening bid. But If the bid was made I have a feeling Levy would have dismissed this bid as derisory and threatened to report Stoke to the FA

We paid 21m for them so 16m should be considered. I think 18m-19m is a fair price that everyone should be happy with
