There's nothing quite like religiously keeping track of all the ITK days on end, hour on hour, only to wake up one morning...calmly switch on SSN, and discover that Tottenham have just signed talented Croatia midfielder Luka Modric...

I love the anticipation that builds when (credible) itk's suggest we are about to sign someone...but random signings like Modric are so much better.

T'was a great Saturday morning that, turned on to find Jeff Stelling announcing that Tottenham have signed Modric in a £16.5million deal - good times indeed!

Despite my annoyance over cryptic shit, what makes the post season almost bearable is this site with the latest ITK which on some great days can be at a frenetic pace.

Back to POTL, I think some are thinking way to much into this, I don't think he would be this cryptic, Its a club that wears blue and yellow or has blue and yellow in their badge

Anyone else find it amusing all this in excess of £20 million for Modric talk? I mean we paid £16 million for him coming out of the Croatian league, unproven in the Premiership and is now undoubtedly our best player (in a team containing VdV and Bale), plus the fact that he has what, five years left on his contract, and all we hear is this price of £20-25 million.

If by some chance Modders wanted to force a move (the only way I can see him leaving) then surely at an absolute minimum we would be looking at a price in excess of the Berbatov fee.

I'm no party pooper but if there is one thing I cannot stand is these ridiculous cryptic bloody clues - honestly, I'd rather statements just focussing on what select people are privy to and just leave it as that.

I thought it might have referred to Parma but having checked (the totally accurate) Wikipedia it seems one of their nicknames is "The Yellow and Blues" and not the "Blue and Yellow" of POTLs ITK.

Praying it isn't Green as some of you have suggested.

Ha, I remember a few years back when I was slightly younger and my then girlfriend was staying over. I was obsessively checking Ceefax to see if Spurs had bought anyone and then it flashed up "Spurs sign Postiga etc..." I was so excited by the headline, but, she woke up and turned the TV off, we rowed for hours and eventually decided to call it a day, so essentially, Postiga made me and my girlfriend split up. Luckily he was super-awesome

It was announced about midnight iirc
