I had some ITK from my source earlyier two bids for pav have been accepted one was deffo from russia and the other one he didnt know where from..... around 10mil mark he was told....... Parker deal is still on and talks on going and the problems that came up from yesterday is at our end is to do with contract length and bonus payments and not main wage he was told.... and Also he was told we are trying to get 2 to 3 more players in before window shuts.... Wilson is on way to stoke and Gio is off to spain.... and jenas may be off to either NUFC or maybe QPR both have made enquirys.... and hutton may go out on loan..... and he was told we mite try to use bassong in exchange for another player....
My source told me we 100% send scouts out on future first team targets this weekend and we looked at 2 diff young english keepers and 1 young english CB. He said we mite not bid this window for these thou and mite wait till january.
Mucho gracias

As said previously this summer, Levy and Harry really don't see eye to eye

No one at the club can convince Levy of anything.

Levy is still refusing to drop prices of the likes of Bentley

Levy isn't used to being told what to do by Agents, players etc. In his business world, he's king, here the players are and he's not getting it.

The players ALL want Modric gone. He's ruined the dressing room.

Chelsea are in Modric's ear every two seconds telling him to go on strike and force a move.

Finally the Daily Mail are about to say that

Big push is for cahill.
Parker close, about a million apart and we've offered £4.5m
Diarra sounds dead over wages though his agents are back in London.
And that's it for today.

We've a whole heap of things for you to do between now and tomorrow night, with crosswords, trips down memory lane and all sorts of other stuff.

And in the morning I hope to have one last little story finished for you too, so stick with SC, first for Spurs, fun and ITK!

I was in the pub when a man in a wheelchair rolled up to me and said, "Arsene Wenger tried to sign me for Arsenal today"
I said, "Is he fucking stupid?"
He said, "I know .. as if I'd sign for that bunch of shite"

Here's an idea! Donate and stay around!

A certain ITK would like to see you make a donation to help keep Spurs Community running. He said.....

Red and yellow and pink and green
Purple and orange and blue
I can sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow too.

A CERTAIN ITK SAYS HAVE YOU DONATED YET? WELL HAVE YOU?
EVERY LITTLE HELPS!

BLUE & YELLOW WATCH

Brad Friedel formerly of Blackburn Rovers, whose kits include B&Y
Robbie Keane signs for LA Galaxy whose kits include B&Y

Would love us to get Cahill as much to hurt arsenal as improve ourselves. I think the outgoings will be more interesting over the next 36+ hours. A lot of talk about selling crouch and pav. Surely we'd get another striker in if that were the case?

Over the next 48 hours, it's put up or shut up time for spurs. Success on the pitch breeds financial success which breeds more success on the pitch etc. Levy needs to tout off the 'deadwood' for cheap, get them off our book, get a couple of million, if the rumours are to believed that he is holding out for a high price. For example, Bentley gone for 2 million is better than keeping him til the end of his contract. Naturally, there is the issue of these players being on high wage, and as a result, not wanting to lower their wages.

Re: All this talk of the 25 man squad, what actually happens if for example we have 26 players, and the 26th is Bentley, and we just leave him out of the squad? He can only play Europa and CC/FA right? And he still collects his wages right? That's not so bad. I dont think the 25 player is too much of a consideration, as he wouldn't see the pitch in a premiership game in a long time.

If we're getting Parker, naturally, palacios is going. If Diarra is also coming in, which would be mint, then JJ is probably on his way out too. It's a shame how much hatred he gets. He never has once complained, he always performs decently when he comes in for an injured midfielder. He is now a SQUAD player, and we need those!

Cahill would also be great. Boost our number of homegrowns along with Parker, add some competition to Kaboul/Dawson (let's face it, bassong aint that). King and Gallas can step in whenever they please, such is their class. I also think that we need to install Walker as our rightback, Corluka is too pedestrian.

In january, prices are always inflated. Get these two in now, don't hope that Arsenal don't get Cahill before we go for him in Jan, don't wait for Leandro in January if it can be helped. If we get these 4, which i know aint gonna happen, it would be a great window. Ade, Leandro, Parker, Diarra, Cahill, Friedel + the youngster.

If reports of Palacios to Stoke for £6M (Express) or £8M (Star) are true then GG Spurs ITK that Levy won't drop prices certainly isn't. If that is the case then it would also cast doubt on the veracity of GG Spur's other info on Modric ruining the dressing room. I think we'd all be much happier if that particular piece of ITK turns out to be wide of the mark.

six to eight million for a guy whoose form has dropped off a cliff and apparently has a knee condition which wont get through a medical is pretty damn good as far as i can see

also althought the headline fee for him was 12m i bet we havent paid anything like that for him so i dont think you can put him in the 'dropped prices' bucket i'm afraid

I have that awful feeling that this window is going to shut with a huge slam and we wont have budged very far. Heres hoping something spectacular happens before then!.

I think we may actually have a better chancevtgan arsenal to get cahill due to the players we can offer as part if the deal.

This info re Levy rings a bit true to me . I was shocked to hear that he had been reading the riot act to our best player . Harry has publically stated that they had a bust up in that meeting so this is not speculation .
Harry has been publically trying to build bridges between the two after what was imo a seriously cocked up meeting .

As the ITK says the players are the kings and it seems that Levy might not have fully grasped this reality .

Hearing Harry's recent comments about the worst pre season , it would not be too far a leap of imagination to say Mods is killing the dressing room .Our performances so far have been short of spark and a lack of a togetherness vibe could be part of this .

I would also speculate that the purchase of VdV was such a thrill to our chairman that it has negatively affected his transfer policy overall . The phrase 'ego driven' transfer dealing was coined by some rag ,but there may be something in it .

We've been shit for about 6 months. Our form has nothing to do with the modric saga.

No. Our strikers have been poor for over the last 6 months but don't forget we ripped apart a resurgent Liverpool at Anfield last May so the team is capable of doing it. Ledley's interview yesterday was enough to tell me that Modric is fucking up team spirit at the moment.

I was pro Modric but I am quickly changing my mind.We cant afford to have a drastic start to the season and have to catch up later January time.

Levy sure likes to play hardball. If a "Indecent Proposal" moment came along he would bargain until the man just walks away. I would hate to go shopping with him in Mexico. We would be bartering for hours.

The whole Diarra thing makes me a little pissed as ITK was pretty convincing a week or so ago. I don't think we can go wrong with Cahill cause he provides us with another option at the back and has shown some goal scoring ability from set pieces; something Dawson has failed at. Which brings up the point...why do we suck so much at sending in a decent corner? VDV's first 3 or 4 were really poor.

Lets hope for some movement today, either in or out. (And I'm not talking about my bowels!)

Hopefully if Modric is going to be sold, which looks likely, just get it out of the way so we can home in on a few targets.

GGSpurs track record?

I don't imagine Luka is actually ruining the atmosphere in the dressing room. More like the level of uncertainty is causing an issue. Several players have come out and said they want him to stay, I would expect players to keep their mouths shut if the lil git was being disruptive.

I also doubt that Levy is refusing to reduce prices, who would actually want Bentley for anything other than free after last season? I suspect we are more than open to reduced prices but that there are various issues surrounding various players:

JJ wanting to stay and fight, Wilsons knee, Bentleys...erm...lack of form, clubs waiting for a deadline day fire sale for players like gio and hutton.

To late to sell luka id think. Keep him, convince him to be focused and next season he can go to whoever he wants for a fixed price, lers say, 40m.
Get Parker, Cahill and Marin and after all the madness it would have been a good window (Leandro in January of course).

If as it appears, Levy is not really backing Harry 100%, then that will or has, filtered through to the players, and done us considerable damage, Levy must surely back his manager or replace him.....i would hope he backs Harry and lets him bring in the players he wants.

Two days to not completely fuck the season Daniel.

Strap yourselves in lads, I just hope this isn't as damp a squib as January...
