With a 150 million pound overdraft even if we sign the players we are linked to

We have enough left over to go and get a huge player.

But once again it does not matter with us as it all comes down to wages!

Thanks for the info though @wishkah

150 mill.

Aurier: 25
Foyth: 10
Sancho: 10
Barkley: 25
Mystery player(s): 80 mill or thereabout

Cool(y)
£80 million spare, eh. I could get banned for what I'm thinking right now so I'm going to be good and behave myself. Fascinating that the overdraft is much larger than it has ever been before though. It would be nice to see it actually get used for a change.

Guys and gals....before everyone starts listing players up to the value of £150m please read what was actually said.

That sort of money is available if needed.

It in no way means we will be spending it.

No lists please.

I would love to be wrong but my hunch is that we will end up with nobody that adds real threat to our first 11.

We seem to be in this position every transfer window and as always we get let down by the club whilst the teams around us continue to strengthen their squad.

I find it very frustrating and like I said I would love to be wrong on this occasion. Time will tell

I think you will be wrong. No way after all the ITK on Poch being unhappy with transfers, and even saying to media he expects 3-4 players. No way! Levy appreciates Poch too much, and he knows it is not a time to create unstability when we're moving to a new stadium.

We will at least get a desperate deadline-day signing or two imo.

Given that we have finished 5th, 3rd and then 2nd I would have to disagree with your logic here.

I dont think Foyth is 10m. More like 8m. Sancho was going to be about 3m but may be a bit more than that. I doubt 10m though. Add Sessegnon for 28m according to the Goat a couple of weeks ago. I'd be surprised if we break our trnasfer record again but we still have a decent amount available if a VDV deal comes up. I think that's all the overdraft is for, in case something special becomes available tomorrow.

Our league finishes have been great but we have been punching above our weight for 3 seasons thanks to the brilliance of Poch. To sustain this we need to keep improving our squad because this year except for ourselves and arse the top 6 teams have all improved

I'm not suggesting we will plonk down a vast sum on a mystery player, but last year does at least give us an indication and evidence that Levy is willing to part with a consderable amount of money right at the death, if it's a player that Poch wants. It's at least enough to keep me intrigued that we could make a large, as of yet unknown, purchase.

Morning all. Great thread and management thereof. In an all day workshop to discuss conflict controls relating to market abuse.

What I'm saying is, please itk gods keep posting so I can keep reading under the table.

To make sure I'm not spamming I can confirm the overdraft has been open all weeeek. It's 150m, almost three times what it has been previously. Also we have cash ready.....doesn't mean we will use it.

Edit. I know this as the RCF (revolving credit facility) is now syndicated amongst 4 banks with. It used to be two. Same "lead arranger" bank but mine is now involved. As are the Americans.

Edit 2. Nothing to do with stadium funding.
Thanks for the update mate - sounds an interesting meeting; don't get caught checking your phone :)
