Signing Gray for 30 million pounds would be asinine. Can anyone see him supplanting Lamela, Eriksen, Son, and Dele, or Pochettino rotating him in for a crucial Champions League fixture? If Sissoko stays, I suspect Pochettino would continually use him, too, over Gray.

This guy is already unhappy not playing at Leicester. The idea of nearly breaking the club's transfer record for him, only for him to be 6th choice, seems extraordinarily non-sensical from both a footballing and financial prospective (I'd think all of the fiscal austerians who are constantly telling us how limited our financial reach is with an ultra expensive stadium to pay for would be up and arms about a transfer like this).

Lastly, Pochettino's style of football is light years different than anything this guy has had exposure to while at Birmingham and Leicester. It'll take him a lot of time to come in and get up to speed, when what we need is someone who can help the squad right now with Dele out of the first three Champions League matches and Lamela injured.

Gray?!?!? Over Mahrez?!?!? 50 shades of kill me. If he is the one Poch wants, its unfortunate but not surprising. Poch's player identification abilities are not the strongest, to put it lightly

Cant question the defensive upgrades that is cracking business. Yes its taken a while but its looking like its all done and we just need the stamp....so indeed job done on that side of the pitch just the other side that needs some loving now. Gray is a talented youngster and another player Poch could Improve but the fee as most attacking players have been this window is excessive for what he has to bring to the table at this time. As others have said its a tad underwhelming we need another who can make an impact and challenge to start every week. While i feel Gray can in time come good i dont think hes what we need right now. But as always great info from the ITK crew....many thanks.

If Gray happens be lot less than 30m. We were always interested, but not at the price they wanted then ;)

But I've already got my pitchfork and lit torch to follow the transfer thread rabble-rousers into Levy's garden?

What the hell am I supposed to do with them now?

Isco wouldn't make the grade at West Brom, Messi would have never made the grade if he was British (too small for hoofball), Kane would not have made the grade under AVB.

If the club are going after Gray it is because the club* think he can serve a purpose. Just grow up and accept that cleverer people than you or I determine who we pursue.

(*I shouldn't have to say this but club means Levy, Poch and the scouting team)

Leaving aside the plainly ridiculous and embarassing Isco and Messi pearls, the powers that be thought GKN, Sissoko and Janssen could 'serve a purpose' last year.

The club is capable of getting things wrong, and fans are more than entitled to have their say on the suitability of potential incomings.

I'm not sure it's entirely the price that our fans have a problem with in regards to Gray. More so his ability, especially if it is in substitute of a first 11 quality player.

Quite happy to have Gray as a development project. As long as we're getting someone else to compete for the first team immediately.

OMG! The meltdown on certain potential signings is beyond belief. Do you really think they are panic buys? Crikey:banghead:

Wide forward we need and almost done:barefoot:
Another very close (AMF/No. 10):barefoot:

Get real and trust Poch. The whole team is in agreement.
