Today has been brilliant... imagine what tomorrow will bring?

Thanks to the mods and ITK's for al your hard work.

Shame if Barkley doesn't happen this window, though completely understandable with his rumored injuries.

Tomorrow will be very interesting.

Did Hercules suggest there may be two WF's coming?
Only, if Martins is the one the ITK have been suggesting, he looks like an old school RW, pace to burn and plenty of skill in the ball, but predominantly on the right touchline in the video I watched. I thought we were looking for a versatile forward, someone to also play up top, Martial type WF.
Martins would not solve the issue of Janssen not being trusted as CF backup.
He said they are close on a wide forward and that Gray was an option along with 2 others.

He said the club are close to an AM/10.

So we can expect anyone from Gray to Martins. Not a lot in it between the 2 so I can see why we would be looking at both options

The wording of his statement could have meant 2 wide forwards or 1 wide forwards and another player (any position). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Martins seems like a great player but wouldn't be overly comfortable with Janssen leaving to fund it. It would leave us with only Son and Kane who can play upfront.

Forgot about his AM10 comment.

If we get Martins, even if it means Janssen is gone, it would give us an embarrassment of riches across the board. If for some reason we could not field Kane or Son, we would have the ability to run a 3-4-3 with Dele, Eriksen, and Martins in the attacking 3. If we had Janssen but no Martins, we would be left with a Dele, Eriksen, Janssen attacking 3, or a 4-2-3-1 (with Sissoko or Lamela). In either scenario, the lineup with Martins is stronger.

Where has the Martins stuff come from? Could someone kindly fill me in so I don't have to trawl through masses of pages.

Tenuous cryptic link followed by Breezer winnering a Gelson post followed by Grey Fox disliking a "Breezers fat fingers made a mistake" post followed by Gard's liking a Gelson tweet followed by Herc not acknowledging Gelson at all (after he's poo pood links that are crap like Moussa Dembele).

One poster guessed his name on a very tenuous basis just because he was a big fan of the player, and then to everyone's surprise three ITKs made ratings (on various different posts here and on Twitter) that suggested there might be something in it.

No ITK has pooh-pooh'd the link yet (I would not count hertyid not understanding the link between Martins and the cryptic which is rather beside the point) despite many being active.

It was really the reactions of Breezer, Grey Fox, and Gards that got everyone excited moreso than the link between Martins and the cryptic, which again was a stretch. It seems the likeliest explanation is that the cryptic refers to another player but that we may have stumbled upon a genuine link in Martins despite that.

As we wait for the end of the TW we seem to have a confusion from the today's criptic. Seemingly the answer was Glenson Martins. But there was no confirmation of that and we had another ITK casting some doubt. IHNFI ! Tomorrow should be cracking fun in here. Sadly I will be spending the day in a meeting where I cannot afford NOT to pay attention, and the afternoon shopping and travelling. I hope that our targets get signed. I genuinely think that we are close to having that strength in depth that we need to cover injuries. Further than that in the event of a ridiculous number of injuries, we have some excellent young players who could cover. Despite the slow start to the season, I really think we can challenge for the title, if we get the right signings done.

In Poch we trust. #COYS

Cheers pal. Don't know much about him but looks quality and would make sense with the recent ITK saying we're in for those who haven't been mentioned.

Oh, and how bout dem cowboys
