I would think that if JJ doesn't want Gards to saying anything, it's because things may be far down the line, but we haven't heard anything, and if it get's out, things could be scuppered (like with Willian). If we haven't even engaged in talks, I'm not sure it would be imperative that nothing was said.

Possibly implies that JJ has been sharing some info with Gardsy boy as well.

God knows why I follow this stuff so carefully! We'll sign who we sign, and all of this speculation will be completely meaningless in a few weeks.

I was thinking the other way around. The fact it's "too early" would suggest it's in the first few stages and it's premature to get excited about anything and he doesn't want it to get out as a lot could still go wrong

Or too early in the last stage of a transfer.

It can definitely be interpreted both ways, I'm just trying to be more positive.

My logic is this (I am going to use 'Mr Striker' for argument's sake):

Say we find out that Mr.Striker is on a wide-ranging list of targets for the striker position, but nothing had happened yet- I'm not sure many people would be going crazy.

If however, we find out that Mr.Striker's transfer to us is near-completion, then people would be getting all excited, the selling club's fans would be complaining, more things could get leaked, other teams may join the race upon finding out etc. - it's far more important that this is avoided.

All IMVHO, and I'm probably wrong.

Only interpretation I can think of is, it's at early stages. Also ,Gards is only talking about targets - so its nowhere near. JJalso said earlier, that one of the cabbages will happen later in window. All things considered, I still see it dragging a bit.

JJ didn't really say that, he said it 'could' happen, which, to me, sounds like the player is not a primary target.

It would also point to a Bender/Kramer type signing...someone with a big reputation. The caution here seems to be over a repeat of the Willian situation, which isn't that likely for a Berahino or McCarthy.

Suggests latter stages which bodes well

I'm a little concerned about the hold up on Ade though. Something doesn't quite sit right. I hope I'm very much wrong

I said it a couple of weeks ago it's all about the Bundasliga.
I just can't see RM allowing us to take JM
SB I'm more optimistic
I think our current crop might just surprise us at OT

The former, I'm assuming.
The post he was replying to was talking about it being bad if we haven't got our Man Utd game starters sorted this week and losing points again I think, and I think Ali could've been saying that Berahino isn't first choice on the field so it doesn't actually matter if now or after season starts

Could the mystery Juve player be Berardi? He's not there right obviously but Juve co-own him I think and have the option to buy him back fully next season.

Plus, he was a stand-out at the U21 Euros, which I believe we were known to have scouted.

SB is Sven Bender, I think.

Possibly, I lose track as we seem to jump from one target to the next several times a day lol.

Minimum of 2 of the proposed new signings need to be 1st teamers otherwise I've a really bad feeling about next season. SB x 2 are what we need.

Signed perm for Sassuolo in the summer with a buy back option for Juve.

I think MP would be happy with SB, NB, RM, DA, MD & TC for CM imo. CK was nearly as much of a dream as MS.
SB is key too so have SB, CE, EL, NC & AP for the LWF, RWF or CAM. Then you also have HK & SB for ST with NC in emergency. Or bonus of TW then we have him as option for LWF, RWF and 3rd choice ST.
