Something to cheer us up...look at this video which focuses on all Ade's superb link up play....it's what we've lacked in a striker since Kanoute (now we have a player x50 better than Kanoute...a world class one). If his threat comes together with VDV, Mod, Bale and even Lennon.....damn!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCDP77Gpqmo

Can you imagine Crouch doing this? Strength, power, skill.

Crouch confirmed on stokes OS, 4 year deal, 10mil which could rise to 12mil, great deal!

Very good deal for us but bad feeling we might get caught short on the striker front. Wonder if Redknap was happy with him leaving? He was certainly always denying wanting Crouch to leave...

We have the same amount of strikers as last year.

Whilst that's true, it doesn't change the fact that Dawson and Kaboul both could've done much better for most of the goals conceeded against both teams.

Welbeck - Had a free header in between the 2
Anderson - Probably midfield and defences fault there, lack of tracking runs
Rooney - Another free header wasn't it. Think Daws was meant to be marking

Dzeko 1st - Kaboul not tight enough at all
Dzeko 2nd - Kaboul again showed complete lack of effort
Dzeko 3rd - No individual errors and I'd say light midfield made it too easy for them
Aguero - Dawson should've got the ball easily
Dzeko 4th - Pure quality not our fault there.

Don't get me wrong-I agree with you that they were asleep but I also think they were repeatedly exposed by a lack of pressing. I think Lennon, Charlie, Bale and Modric are just some of those who deserve a dose of the hair dryer.

I think Windy's got it all covered.

At the end of the video it shows many knock downs similar to Crouch but better.

I'm very happy with Adebayor but just worried if he gets injured

I'd really hope Pav would get a run in the team, if that was the case. Someone posted a table of the top 20 strikers in Europe...goals per game ratio I believe....Pav surprised a lot of people....and was high up on the list.

No sticking Defoe up front on his own....because he's a Harry favourite. :bang:

Sorry but you need to watch those goals again and get someone to explain them to you.

Dzeko's header was just a ridiculous goal. Not much you can do to stop a fall-away far post header. Just a great individual effort.

How so? Keano was loaned out last year. Crouch out, Ade in. Pav and Defoe still here.

Sorry, I thought we had Keano at some point last season - didn't he join Wham in January? Maybe not but anyway, if Ade gets injured it fair to say we'd be left short up front - Crouch at least offered us a different option.

Not bad but could've been better. Adebayor must stay fit until Jan when maybe we can buy some cover (leandro?). Cahill would've been nice but wasn't essential. I would've liked a younger version of Mod so when he goes we have another ready to step in. Dos Santos will get Europa games which might allow him to show some form. We need Sandro and Parker to stay fit too.

But i worry up front - without Adebayor we're gonna struggle more than last season, and Rp would've been first out for me over Crouch. Adebayor must stay fit for us to challenge for top 4. I just hope we're working for cover for January already...

What did we do to stop the cross coming in, particularly Charlie and Lennon? How about Daw's positioning? And why did Kaboul get caught flat footed?
