Good morning and welcome to a special edition of the Daily ITK Discussion Thread. As you know, I don't usually do a thread on Sundays, preferring to spend my time doing other things, such as dusting down my set of life size naked Star Wars figures in a variety of positions You've haven't lived until you've had a threesome with Princess Leia and C3-PO........

Yesterday I brought the wife a pair of nipple tassels to bring some much needed excitement back into our marriage. All they did was polish her toe nails.

No Cryptics here just thoughts and a bit of info...
Would you take 2 players from a club one signed, one on loan and then give the team you are taking from first option at an agreed price for one of your stars for 2 seasons time?
Good business if you ask me...
I dont know the players involved!

The supposition, given earlier ITK is that the club in question is Real Madrid.

Opportunist bump into my Source this morning. Don't know anything else other than Man Utd want Modric as the final piece of their jigsaw and was told they have directly made their approach official to DL and it's looking likely he will go. As said before my source felt he would go if 35 + offered.
When asked really he simply said I'm afraid so. I then Asked for anything positive and he said he didn't know where we are at with any of players mentioned thursday, but that DL has to pull out all stops now to get the players wanted in and a big name.

TBF DL should have been pulling out all the stops since January 1st. What's he been doing then?

In the Sunday Mirror you'll see that Tottenham are also lining up a £10m bid for Lyon's 21-year-old Bosnian midfield star Miralem Pjanic. There's a Dad's Army joke in there somewhere.

Paul Scholes gave me a laugh when it was revealed in the Sunday Mirror that retired Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has confessed that manager Sir Alex Ferguson would have been right to kick him out of the club a decade ago when he refused to play in a League Cup tie at Arsenal in November 2001. He would also have been right to kick you out of the club because your a ging-ger mate.

I think Diarra coming in will be a cert now! We really need him with both Sandro & Huddlestone injured, I would not be happy with Modric & one of Jenas/Livermore for the first couple of months!

If we allow ourselves to be silly for a minute if Chelsea offer the big bucks for Luka (anything above £40m) I'd seriously expect us to sell, so getting Kaka would Be ideal!

Oh and as for the Kaka stuff, we had a squillion post saying 'Kaka....ha ha' etc yesterday, can we concentrate on today's ITK now?

I can honestly see us enhancing an already bloody good midfield and cocking up the striker situation yet again. History does have a habit of repeating itself. Mind you I still believe last season was an abnormality and pav and jd could still do a job.

As for this mornings reported Crouch and Zamora swap, was Zamora not treated pretty badly last time he was here?
