Vucinic expected to sign for Juve 2moro...We did agree the deal with Roma at 13.5 million..Then Vucinic's agent touted him to everyone...There was always interest from other clubs so was never a dead cert...Juve came in with a better offer to Roma (paying more cash upfront than us) and offered Vucinic and his agent a better financial package... If any transfer is to happen soon it is Diarra...I mentioned this weeks ago but apparently the Journalist has claimed he was the first to mention it even before the media? :duh: Also i remember mentioning back at the start of the U21's euro's that we had club officials there watching Mata...My source has said Levy is desperately trying to pull it off but he wants the move to Arsenal....

cheers mate. not 2 confident either on mata. never was . great little player. not 2 despondent on vucinic. personally i think he likes lifestyle over there and had no real interest in coming to spurs. it was dragging for ages which says alot imo so thats not the character we need

fucking idiot. go to bed. Whats so poison that he said and that we dont already know?

There are things that should not be said publicly by the manager when players are already concerned about if this is the place to be. Absolutely no need - bit Like you're unnecessary abuse of another member

Sid Lowe just tweeted (to the effect) that if no one else wants Mata we have a chance.

i get abused alot by other member i dont take it to heart but nothing in that article to warrant what an obviously uneducated idiot has to say. Manager was saying what reality and if u dont like it well im sorry thats tough lines. He has not said anything that wud jeopardise deals or any deals so im my eyes i see nothing wrong with it but its depressing to read but nothing i did not already know

Saying we are unlikely to come top 5 is not going to put players off? Yeah, if you say so.

What good does he think comments like this do? He might like to try some coaching and getting the most out of what he's got. Plenty of other managers do it

No offence taken, first off.

And I don't know if we have the money to pull off signing a fully formed, top level striker. Those players such as Aguero, Tevez, Eto'o, etc, cost a fuck load of money up front (£30m+) and then £200k a week wages. Everything we know about our football club suggests we're not gonna do that. So what then?

I would like to think we could get a Vucinic, or whoever (they're a slight step down from the Eto'os, of this world, but excellent in their own right) but there's always some other bastards out there who could offer better. What do we do then? We're not gonna suddenly start spending £100k per week for player wages, not at this stage. So we're stuck.

Do we, in that case, just stick with what we've got and hope for the best? I hope not.

My personal opinion is that I really don't give much of a flying fook if we make a big money buy, just so long as we make a player who is effective money buy.
There was suggestion that were consulting VDV = fine. If we get players in that are effective with him, that is all we want really (other than to prove things to a certain Croatian).
I have avoided this argument, but, I wanted Huntelaar last Summer, and would be reasonalby happy with him this (so long as the price was right). And someone more capable of linking play up as well - who could play with VDV, but also with Huntelaar, keeping Pav. and I think we would have vastly improved options IMHO. Osvaldo may be a good choice, or the fella at Hamburg (who, like Huntelaar, VDV knows pretty well). Not too expensive and obtainable.

Then get back to attracting top young talent, like you say - attract them when they are young.

If nothing happens this week then my belief may start to waver

Me too, Hotty:cry:

No, you want to read his last sentence again

He said based on what Liverpool have done fergie is likely to be right that spurs are not top five contenders

Can we block every other clubs fax machine up with dog shit offers for their players so that they can't use it to contact Valencia?

Two bags of KP peanuts for RVP and a bottle of Johnsons baby oil for Sagna.

Tonights episode of Law and Order is titled "Tick Tock"... the plot thickens?

Wasn't it tick follows tock? Which is from an old Guinness advert? And I think the saying is good things come to those who wait

i see the word probably with what liverpool have bought.. i dont see anything convincing there and i dont for one minute believe that harry redknapp with his many years in game and his ability to motivate and put team team together wlll let any of that suppose negative poisonous talk enter his dressing room at any stage of the season let alone augest 13th.

his ability is man management and he will get his team up for it. what wud be nice wud be couple of top players to help him along the way but thats not his call and besides what if he said spurs will make top 4 whats the point in that and making a rod for yourself. i hope harry comes out and says it more in fact cos it takes pressure off us. let liverpool have their moment. let arsenal talk the talk. fuck em and let harry and his team go about their business

His man management of the players he now wants rid of has been first class you're right.

He could now find himself having to make do with those players so ostracising them is very intelligent. But no doubt that will all be someone elses fault

What would be nice is if Harry et al could indentify players who aren't going to smash our wage structure. Granted its not easy but thats were time and resources should be going.

and what players are those that he wants rid of???

defoe.. rarely plays and debately if harry wants him gone.
jenas does not play ever unless in middle of injury crisis.
bentley - next.
keane - next..
who are these players that he will be left with and has to deal with when none of them get a game anyway
