I can think of several reasons to buy Parker

1) Added steel in midfield
2) CL experience
3) Vocal
4) A leader
5) Less chance of us being muscled out by Blackburn/Wolves/Bolton/Stoke in midfield
6) Better than Palacios, Hudd, Jenas, O Hara

Does 9 games for Chelsea count as CL experience? I don't think so. He didn't even win anything with Chelsea. :shrug:

I'd imagine so but we can't let that put us off all the time, we should try at the very least. Get VDV to whisper in his ear, let him know what its like to loved again.

He isn't the type to hold up the play and he's a much better finisher when he doesn't have time to think but he has pace and his movement is very good.

As a Juve fan I will say we are well above their level, you're talking about the 6th maybe 7th best team in serie A

Oh I'm not saying we shouldn't explore it, but I think there will be significant obstacles.

It's interesting but probably unrealistic. VDV may help. Our relationship with RM will probably help. But who knows what the player thinks.

yes but by the same token the detractors can hardly use that as conclusive evidence to slag him for looking out of place at a top side or whatever it is they're saying.
