Interesting ITK. Personally I only see one big signing (if at all) I think realistically it'll be a big signing and a loan. Whether or not it'll be a striker or a dm though is anyone's guess. I don't see us landing Witsel and Berahino say. One or the other with a cheaper alternative.

Personally if he's available and willing I'd go Witsel and get in a cheaper back up/loan back up for Kane.

The reason being Witsel strengthens the starting 11, not sure Berahino does to the same degree.

£30 donated towards a cleaner to pick up all the toys that will get thrown out of the pram when we don't get the players we want

£20 extra if we get the DM and CF we need.

This site and all the mods deserve an award for being the best on the Internet. Well done all those that contribute

And to Mr Levy. Get it done!

Berahino/ Pato + Wanyama/ Witsel looks good to me, doubt it though. Hope we have 2, 3 more names for each position on the radar. Something realisitc for example.

If witsel is gettable he would be my no.1 over any cdm we have been linked with. I think he is awesome and that Belgium contingent we have makes a great spine for our team. Come on levy get him down here :coffee:

IMO Witsel should be Plan "A" and Wanyama Plan "B", if we are considering the quality of the two players.

Pros and cons for both, sure, and both deals will be pretty difficult to do. However, I remain optimistic that we can potentially bring in one of the above before the deadline.

So if Southampton ain't selling...it's witsel? I haven't been following the Russian league at all. Has he been performing for zenit since his move?

I just want the striker. We have plenty of centre midfielders, and while we don't have the ideal one to screen the centre backs at least we have options. If we get someone in I see it as a bonus. One last bid for Berahino and then it's onto other options. I can see it now, if we fail for Berahino it will be a desperate late signing of a Hernandez or Michu. I think Pato would take too long and not sure if he has any 3rd parties involved?

Good to see Mystery back.

We now just need POTL to dip back in with a positive yet slightly passive aggressive update and then Peanut to tell us nothing is happening, then I think that's the whole band back together!

Scenes.

No surprise with Wanyama. Southampton have drawn a line, like last year. We have Dier, Dembele, Mason and Bentaleb to play there so I'm not too concerned. We could even turn to Alli or Eriksen or Alderweireld.

As for strikers, are Son and N'Jie going to offer more than Soldado and Adebayor? I certainly hope so, but they will take some time to adapt and even then there is a question mark on whether they will be able to lead the line. Like Chadli, I suspect they will be more likely to be supporting a main striker.

I think we do need someone else to spearhead our attack. I hope we have a backup option in case the Berahino doesn't come off.

i am absolutely dumbfounded if we are even bothering to chase wanyama, they aint selling full fucking stop, stoop chasing players that we've got no chance of buying and concentrate efforts on attainable players especially this late in the window, it beggars fucking belief!!

Milan have money issue, Witsel already said yes to ac move in july quoted by his agent riccardo napolitano, however ac are onky prepared to spend 20m euros, Zenitbwant 30/35m euros, which converted right now is £21.8m or £ 24.5m depending whether its 30m or 35m euros to get the bid accepted. Russia are also imposing a limit to foreign players bqck by the giv so they dont hamper local talent before thier WC in 2018, to promote their youth, to improve their own players standard.

If Mystery is correct and Witsel is plan B to Wanyama as plan A, who the bleeding hell is drawing up our strategies???

We've tried it and all it does is create confusion.

Anything relevant will go into this thread, the Read Only and the Live Update Ticker thread that will be kept as current as possible with breaking news, ITK and other relevant information.
Live update ticker where is this ?

Kinda surprised/excited to hear that the slightly tenuous rumour floating about re: Pato appear to actually have some truth in them.
