Not actually that good.

Not sure I buy that. He was clearly decent at Forest and he wouldn't be the first player to go overseas and struggle. He is a young man and kudos to him for trying.

Given his skill set, profile, age and price and the fact we have a manager renowned for working with young players i suspect he would be excactly the sort of thing we will be looking for (whether we like it or not!)

Edit: scored a couple as captain last night in the Toulan tournament which I know is only youth football but given we are creaming over Onomah for playing well at this level its worth noting.

These kinds of comments are so defeatist in a roundabout way. This sport is about margins, and IMO, it is ONLY those transfers that failed over the last seasons that collectively is the reason for why we haven't won a trophy yet. The money, the time spent, the uselessness of some signings ... it's an marginal error, but it has cost us dearly.

Curious you talk of being defeatist. You are taking a naturally pessimistic stance by suggesting that they are the sole reason we havent won anything...Surely it can be argued that the extra competition and squad depth is the reason we have been coming close?!
Its the same thing everytime we spend any money - either they are shit and we've over-spent or we havent spent enough and lack ambition. All the while they HAVE to hit the ground running or are written off immediately! Which has led to quite a few cases of people sheepishly eating their words the following season.

Not that I wouldn't want to debate with you, because you are largely making sense, but trying to not push boundaries, I'm afraid this thread doesn't really open up for prolonged discussions.
