PTOL is a board member, or Senior member of staff/PA's but with a love of the club. And funny enough has a lot of people outside of this and COYS guessing who they are.

Even Agents and Journos want to know!!! :)

Maybe he is Levy then

Granted we don't want to continually rebuild ourselves. That being said, 19-24's are "now" players. Dortmund and Lille just won titles with squads filled with u25's. Adebayor might be proven in the prem, but he is the only one on that list that is. Everybody else is a boom/bust potential just like the one's I listed. And once again, that's from my knowledge base. Our scouting department should be better than me.

And in the last couple of years Chelsea, ManU, Inter, Milan and Barca have won major leagues with teams containing older players as well.

I understand what you are saying, I agree and have said as much, we, like most successful clubs should (and generally do) target players of the profile you have mentioned. We have been pretty successful at it as well. Carrick, Modric, Berbatov to name our best three. For a club like us this is the only sustainable model. But a little bit of - quality - experience can also come in very handy sometimes and is vital for the blend. After Modric, I would say VDV and Gallas were our next most important and influential players last season.

You have to be a great coach to mould a team of youngsters into a succesful cohesive unit. Redknapp is never going to do this. When he's bringing in VDV's and Gallas's I have no problem at all, but when it's Phil Neville or a spent Parker or a 40yo Friedel, I start to worry.

Adebayor for me would be perfect exception to the 18-24 rule.

As far as wages go, I just wonder if Levy would stretch the weekly a little on the basis that he's not committing to a 4 year contract but a one year deal with no up front fee.

Plus 12.5k a goal bonus, 3.4k assist and 3K a win in EPL and 1.5 in Europe

That is all

For what it's worth, for all his uncouth and "simplistic" posting style, BEN has been one of the most reliable ITK's for as long as I've been on here. His stuff rarely comes with optimistic gibberish.

An interesting day on the ITK front, lets hope most of it comes to fruition soon.

Hmmm, so perhaps we may still yet see movement tomorrow?
I've still got a tiny niggle telling me that Levy wants to pull something special out the bag.
Of course, it may just be wishful thinking to be honest.

I just get the feeling that he quite like this image of being a hard baller. A hard man to beat when you're sat across a table from him.
And I think that he'd like the idea of going, "ok, so last year was Shit but...ta daaa!". The press would love it, fans would adore him forever and his peers and rivals would also have to applaud.

I'm not saying he'd pull of something special just to look like The Man, or to feed his own ego, it'd be for the benefit of the club.
But everyone likes to quietly give it the large occasionally, if the opportunity should present itself.

I do however, like the option above of Nilmar and Osvaldo as mentioned above.
Don't know much about them but I like the little that I do.

If the recent itk flurry is correct then hooray, but I just hope DL's got a similar back-up plan.

...I assume we want to get rid of Keane first as he is the joint highest earner along with Modric.
Sheesh. That's fucking depressing.

How do people know who earns what? I've not found google turns much up.

...bentley keane hutton jenas all have no use whatsoever to spurs football club , they must be got rid off this window.
For all that Hutton's a thug with all the positional sense of broccoli, he actually had some pretty good games for us last season. Sure, he can't defend, but it was handy having someone attacking on the RW, because Lennon sure as hell wasn't up to it for long spells. I wouldn't shed a tear to see him go (especially with KW stepping up), but he doesn't deserve to be lumped in with the other three IMO.

Anyway, I still want Leandro. He sounds like the right type of striker, a player that gets up off the floor from all reports, and Sandro has made me unrealistically optimistic that any player we sign from the Brazillian Inter will prove to be a rare diamond.

Then your second guess of the man is a good one,

btw forgetting his arsenal background, he is such an average striker for whom it is not worth breaking the wage structure for...
