Cheers A&C for putting it all together. Yesterday was definitely full of ITK, and ITK-Lite, and a lot of ITK that floated roughly around the same core through line which is nice to see. Whoever that first signed player is, they're never going to live up to the hype. Even something fantastical like Bale would probably get backlash.

He's been linked with a move to Inter, as PSG is now overcrowded in his position. He's never going to overtake Neymar, he has minimal chance of getting a starting spot. I'm sure having just gone there, he now regrets that move.

Also, Wenger is a known long time admirer. Us grabbing him would surely piss off the gooners. They'd been linked with him for how long?!

Finally, I think the majority of SC would be happy with him, though you can never please everyone.

Just as a tiny addition to my little piece of news in the Barkley thread yesterday:

I was also told to expect the last two weeks of August to be busy for us - Poch has apparently identified two/three positions he wants to strengthen in terms of the squad and there is a list of candidates for this, but he is aware we're always likely to do most of our business late in the window. Any outgoings are likely to depend on these incomings.

I know that one of those incomings is Barkley, no idea about any other names.

The source is such that I'm not likely to get ITK with any regularity and only ever about current dealings I think rather than exciting new player names - I have absolutely no history of ITK so please feel free to take with as much salt as you can carry, I'll take no offence. I can only say the source is a good one and that's one of the reasons I've only been told some fairly unexciting stuff which only really confirms what we probably have already guessed.

I inferred that part from the frequent discussion of it. Yisrael informed me that it wasn't itk. Have your rating and move on. Acting supercilious and creating one post about it after enough clutters this tread enough that it's hard for other members to pick out what is actual itk and what isn't. People like you are likely to blame for things like that continuing rather than instantly being dismissed.
