I don't blame them for keeping it quiet, the whole thing has been a disaster ever since they released the ticket prices.

I think this proves that whatever leaks we had in the club are now long gone. Hense the comparitive lack of ITK info.

I don't get this idea that suddenly we have stopped the leaks. The reason we haven't heard anything is because we bloody well haven't done anything.

I'm not sure it works that way. I'm sure they just announce a deal when it's done. I doubt they're worried in what order they announce a signing. When it's done and they have the resources ready to announce it they will.

I believe it was Jonny Evans and one other player, Cabbage = Green shirts from the national team, Same Grocer = former Utd

Funnily enough the more interesting proposed solution of same grocer = Leverkusen and Cabbage = Kramer (Sauerkraut) Son (Kimchi) was actually more accurate in the end.

Such is the beauty/madness of cryptics!

The ticket prices were not down to the club. They sold the rights - I guess for a guaranteed return. They've probably washed their hands. Expect an email about a limited amount of reduced price tickets available on the day next!

And I also don't think the arrival of the new goalie is likely to swell the gate from 25k to 50k in any case!

What I am amazed is there is literally no rumour coming out of Italy for Spurs- usually they leak everything to create competition or PR.

The secrecy does hint towards it being a marquee signing, but I get the feeling we will all be underwhelmed when we find out who it actually is. Mainly because in our heads we are all bigging it up to be Bale or Lemar.
