What a top signing.....ambition!

Gazzaniga.. Got to be the most underwhelming signing since Ryan Nelson.

I reckon that's tough on Nelson, he was a pro for us and always tried to put in a decent shift.
He wasn't someone the fans wanted but he did what he could (not his fault we bought him)
The times have changed and the future is much brighter than at any other time since I have followed Spurs

I hope I'm wrong, but I feel that we are letting our imagination run away with itself in regards the anticipated signing. I think it will be a good squad improving player but just can't see a 'marquee' signing (and the financials that entails) happening...

Someone's probably already thought about this but, given the Italy hints and who we're playing on Saturday, I wonder if the player is travelling to London anyway as part of their touring squad and that's why it will be done on Monday. Perhaps it might be why there are no media links as well as they just believe he is travelling to London for the friendly.

Saha was actually pretty decent for us too in the short term. I've seen a lot worse, although we should have been aiming higher in that window.

He could play half for them, then at half time come out in the Juve kit and as the ref blows the whistle change tops and play the second half for us...
It's not like anyone would notice us playing with 12 and them 10...

The secrecy does hint towards it being a marquee signing, but I get the feeling we will all be underwhelmed when we find out who it actually is. Mainly because in our heads we are all bigging it up to be Bale or Lemar.

I can really see it being a RB (ties in with Ali Z) that is close to signing rather than the mystery Italy player (Gards said one close and one under the radar). I really like a lot of our RB targets (Toljan/Pereira/Henrichs) but could see some being underwhelmed.
