It makes sense that he wants to put the pressure on. He wants to win things at Tottenham, but I have no doubt that he doesn’t want to be labelled as a nearly man and will move on if he doesn’t feel he can. We need to match his ambition.

All negotiations with Levy are positive before you actually have to do the work of negotiating with Levy.

I stated last summer, and did again this summer. This was always earmarked as the big spend prior to entrance into new stadium. Aside from Citeh & Yanited, we will be in the same market for players on both fees and wages, as the others. Don’t expect us to spend 80m on one player, unless it was a Messi-esque signing of a a ridiculous precocious talent.

I am a sceptic and a cynic when I hear behind closed doors the happenings. No more so than Willian, who had signed provisionals via his agents. It was after that DL changed the terms before any player appears for a medical.

So please for the sake of SANITY, stop being so friggin negative, and knocking Levy. Poch is playing the media to keep the club to honour their promises and words. He LOVES it here! He wants to stay long-term.
It is upto the club. Joe Lewis has a massive desire (similar to Jack Walker) before he cops it. His family and friends are ardent.

It will be interesting to see what we do this summer. Personally I'm pretty fearful that we may have overstretched ourselves with the stadium, and the lack of noise on naming rights is starting to be a bit of a concern.

I'd love to see us really back Poch with two or three top quality signings, but I think it's more likely that we sell some established players, bring in some with potential, and break even at the end of it all.

We shall see.
