I'd keep him, but my fear is that English teams will be in for Dembele. It would break my heart to see him in another premier league team's shirt.

If he wants a good pay package to end his career on, then maybe he will look to the Chinese league. Although if he has to go, I would much rather see him playing in Italy - I think he could do a good job at either of the Milan clubs.

Hopefully we can do a Chelsea and sell him to China for big money for both us and him (Dembele). Will be sad to see him go, such an elegant and skilful player, but physically strong too. Served us well. Sounds pretty amicable to be fair.

Needed to be a key upgrade area regardless so hopefully we go big here. Sergej M-S, Kovacic, Ndombele, Diawara, Haidara are players out there with similar attributes. I think we probably need one in that mould and another in a more DLP style this summer.

Depends if he's settled in London. Might be a good acquisition for Fulham if they come up. Sentimental return and all that. Would sweeten the deal as well if we can persuade Sessengnon to come. Or whatever he's called. Far harder than Ericcsson.

I just hope he goes to another country as I still think there's a quality player in there and wouldn't want to see him potentially performing well for another PL league team. I've been vocal about how I wouldn't want to get rid of him as despite there not being much competition at all and him not being the most offensive thinker, he's still our best current central midfielder who's not a defensive midfielder.

Surely he has to be thinking about the US or China. The teams that may love to have him in their side, teams outside say, the top 6, may be able to offer him an extra year, maybe 2, but I wouldn't have thought on the greatest of salaries.

It would mean we would really have to look for good quality in that position come the summer, I would say that we'd need 2 central midfielders really. It is intriguing to see how this team can develop with a central midfielder that has more offensive and passing capabilities.

Talk a few weeks back of Juve coming in strong for him on the back of his performances against them (quote from their gm- LINK)

Think we could still get a decent sum for him as he’s bossed quite a few high profile games this season.

Point blank refuse to sell him in England. With one year left, me might be able to squeeze out the last few drops that he has at the elite level. Then let him move on a free to China or wherever he wants when he body will almost certainly start to let him down.

Absolute monster on his day, but not worth a 3 year deal on vastly inflated terms.

Will miss him and wish him well. Be a shame to leave but all good things come to an end. Would be more gutted with Toby or Rose leaving

At least it sounds like a harmonious exit for once. I'll be sorry to see him go, but obviously it's his last contract and he wants to make the most of it.

I am seemingly in a minority as I see dembele as a midfielder who never makes telling passes in the opposition half also he does not score goals and so if being tough to get the ball off of is the requirement for the spurs midfield then dembele fits the bill .I prefer my midfielders to not only be hard to get the ball off but to also make a goal now and then also score a goal now and then

I said this about 3 years ago and got slated! I love mous and what he does...hes a beast but attacking wise i dont think hes scored ot assisted enough! Last goal i can remember is in europa league

I really wish Dembele all the best. He is irreplaceable sadly. His stats are freakish and puts him in a category of his own as a midfielder. Even though he does get praise in the media I still think he is underated. One of my favouite players to wear the shirt.

What kind of fee will Dembele fetch?

I wouldn't expect much. He's injury prone, running down his contract and going by the info Trix posted the club are trying to help him get the move that he wants.

You Know what these so called jokes are no longer funny and in fact quite annoying and childish. Get a new script.
Better brace yourself mate its early days, i predict at least another hundred hilarious Levy jabs before the summers out.
It is essentially the same gag over and over again, i guess some posters would happily tune in to series 15 of Little Britain if they could.

Dembele....
Is looking for a 3 year deal with s significant pay rise. A last big contract with a bit of security as far as length is concerned. As a club we can not make that sort of commitment to a player who in all likelihood won't be physically able to last the duration of that contract. It would be foolish to commit to that sort of outlay with so many other financial factors to consider ATM.

He understands this fully and his people are aware of other clubs from all over showing interest and willing to offer him a good deal.

The club are going to do everything they can to get him the deal he wants, as he has been an outstanding pro and servant to the club, often playing through injury for the cause. I don't see this happening early in the window as the world cup is in his favour as far as negotiation is concerned. He is almost certainly off though, and a replacement is a priority.

well that sucks, glad to hear its amicable though between all parties.

Hearing the news re Martial this morning is very exciting, just pray it is true and JJ confirms it

Martial is exactly what we need and believe if we got him a few years ago when we should have, we would have won the league
