Looks like last nights game was the last straw for Mourinho with Martial. Just remember he also let De Bruyne and Salah in similar fashion.

We've seen first hand what a threat he can be, and that's under a stifling manager with no consistency. I think he would be a better version of Son, but also Kane cover. Having Son/Martial and Moura as attacking options on the bench would be great.

Chelsea and Arsenal will be interested for sure but maybe CL football and a stable manager means we could slip in early. Just hope they don't try and get Dier or Toby in return. I think (and hope) Jose will just get rid though.

As for hercs other info. Toby abroad, De Ligt in, and especially Eriksen staying is good info, as long as we meet the assurances (which I assume are similar to Poch too). Maybe Max Meyer as one from Germany, seems to be more of a CM these days...

If we're in for Martial, you'd have to think all of Llorente, Janssen, N'Koudou & Lamela (?) will be off.

Love Lamela but it's hard to make a case for him staying if Martial comes in in addition to Lucas too. Back up to Eriksen? Hard to see him playing much with Son here too.

Martial seems too perfect for it to happen. But if we get him and De Ligt it will be amazing transfer window for us (even though we will lose Toby and probably Rose). Bundesliga is always exciting with great talent there but getting players like Bailey or Pulisic would be really hard I think. Maybe we are trying to get Arp who was linked with us in January. But we also need some proper CM and if we get Martial and De Ligt will there be enough in the bank to get some good CM, and does that mean that we are not getting Sessegnon? Will be exciting summer in any case.

Martial is a world class player in waiting.
Jose doesn't do development he does established stars.
This is a Van Der Vart moment and Levy needs to get this done.
De legit Martial and a CM and were good to complete on all fronts.
I'd take Shaw as well.

De Ligt obviously one of the most exciting young players in world football, my only small concern is what it means for Juan Foyth, who looks fantastic. Hopefully he will be happy to stay and compete for the role of Jan Vertonghen’s eventual successor.

Well, if rumours are correct about Poch wanting 3 at the back..

Hercules comments about Eriksen are interesting. I assume he means that he wants more money, investment in the squad and Poch to stay as manager.

Be interesting to see how that compares to son, Alli etc in terms of minutes played. he does have pace and power which are great attributes to have and ones we were missing before the Lucas signing but the thing I’m really not convinced about him is his personality on the pitch, he just seems disinterested in the game a lot of the time. There doesn’t seem a lot of hunger in there. We would of put up with that a decade ago maybe but right now these are the things that are going to make a difference for us especially in areas where we’re fairly strong. I wouldn’t be completely opposed to the signing but it’s not a signing that will push us over the line. I would be far more excited by De Ligt and a couple of top draw full backs.

well early on in the season he was being brought on and produced, but still didn't get starts in a WC year with a French boss that doesn't play non starters too often. if he puts the work in in training, and with Son likely to miss the start of the season, we could be hitting the jackpot here

We were linked with Jonathan Tah (German CB) earlier in the year - perhaps he's one of the Germans as a backup plan to De Ligt.

If we get martial and de light, i think we only need a new CM and 2 new full backs to replace Rose and Aurier/Tripper. And hopefully full backs that will be champs league quality. We have been linked to a few german fullbacks so perhaps thats where we are looking.

Toby is gone folks-La Liga, unless something ridiculous happens. Da Ligit is almost a nailed on. But again you should know I am not as brave as some. Forget Alfie Mowson. No way are we going to pay 30-40m for him. Something we are trying to do in Germany also. We have 2 positions with 2 players in mind. Watch that country. Eriksen wants to stay, but wants to be convinced in more ways than one :peeking: (watch all my wordings, and there is no puzzle with letters in there :snaphappy:

Sorry I just don't understand what Herc means here- can someone help me pls

To put Bale to rest:
He doesn’t want to leave RM!
If! He does, his preference would be us!
Will the deal happen?
RM want to push him out to bring in someone else, and are doing their best to bring suitors in. His team believe he is nailed in to stay. I am not sure he will stay, or go. What is a fact; we 100% have a written in clause to have first refusal at a set price, with variants to that.

If FFC are not promoted, we will try to tie up the deal for Sess, as it is far down the road in our favour. If we get Sess, Martial (praying hands), Da Ligit (Praying hands), we will bring in 2 CM, with Gomez a possibility, but no deal or bid on him. The two CM would need creative budgeting to make happen. If someone like Bale came in (which in my opinion is 99% won’t happen as explained), we have to be creative on a CM.

We have many irons in the fire, and Poch’s meeting this coming week with the board should make a lot of things clearer.

Would have to imagine the Eriksen comment is in regards to a raise and ambition shown by the club.

As always, thanks @Hercules. Much appreciated.

Hercules has posted ITK on a number of occasions in the past, relating to positive business deals and funding for the club

I wonder if we'll hear anything more on this front in the coming weeks?

Gomez? Its that Andre Gomes at Barcelona?

It also sounds like we're going to have a lot of players that play on the left.
