If Bale likes it in Madrid then let's agree to let him travel back when injured. 2 or 3 Spanish breaks every month should be enough.

So we have a first refusal in Bale, what does that actually mean? We can match any offer? Couldn't we do that anyway...

The implication a couple of pages back was that we have first refusal at a fixed fee - my concern with that would be that assuming we added this clause when we sold him for £86m, that fee is likely to be pretty damn high.

Would be ecstatic with either Bale or Martial, but actually I think our need for a world class central midfielder is greater. We don't shift the ball quickly enough, which is our biggest undoing against the bus parking teams.

I say we get Bale back. Someone's got to show Aurier how to take a throw in...and boy, Bale could certainly launch that ball in when taking them.

hughton(had good kit itk in the past) on coys responding to previous itk by moussa on coys that levy was unhappy with nike
That is in complete contrast to info I got from the guy at Nike that is top of the football food chain and deals directly with Levy and Spurs. He said things were going brilliantly with Spurs, but they were having some serious issues with Chelsea . He did say the relationship at the start was difficult because Nike did a deal with the Chavs after we had negotiated with them. We were a bit pissed off at this but Nike's stance was the Chavs deal landed on their lap.

Reading between the lines I got the impression that the return on the Chavs was not as lucrative as had been suggested and shirt sales were not what they'd hoped.

Shocker that defenders and holding midfielders jerseys don't fly off the shelves!

Tbf both could be right. Nike might think it a great deal surs might not.

Have no idea either way.

I could not agree more. Dembele and Dier play a big and critical role in ball retention but their distribution is average at best. Which is why by the time the ball is at the feet of our 3 in our 4-2-3-1, there is too much to overcome. A top distributor (which is why Winks - even though he is clearly still developing - does well for the team when he plays) and some more quicker and accurate delivery from the flanks.

We can't be overly critical of Poch but he does sometime look like he lacks a Plan B.

A good insightful video of what happens behind the scenes.
