The prospect of picking up another Alli is remote , and if we did it would be 10, possibly 15 million, not 5 mill. I understand why we don't want to pay 50 mill for Barkley, but the fact of the matter is decent players are going to cost 15 mill, players who can add to the quality of the squad will be 20 mill plus.

Levy and Poch have promised that they will spend, the basic squad is strong adding two decent players will cost the best part of 50 million. Anything less and we are wasting our time and money. So I guess the players coming in are good, because Levy blew a stack on Sissoko and he won't want a repeat.

He strikes me as an Arsenal player all over. Talented, technically good, lightweight, inconsistent and goes missing too frequently.

Also, is it the same Gards as the one on Twitter? Because if it is, and he seems a decent bloke and all that, but most of what he posts comes across as emotionally charged opinion.

Also, why are we talking about ITK of signing a new player on Monday? Again, nothing in the RO. Who posted that?

Monday - came from a non-regular ITK, who heard from a mate, whose dad is in position to know - that Spurs will announce something on Monday. That is combined with a few regular ITK who say a non-GK deal is close.

Now its possible that the "dad" knows about the GK signing - but I think the general assumption is that there will be a non-GK signing "soon" and Monday fits that narrative.

Its all taken with a pile of salt, as always, but its like opium to the masses - keeps them sated through the weekend.

And this is where it's interesting. I'd be surprised if we heard nothing until an official announcement from the club. Usually a club would leak some info shortly in advance to drum up publicity. If the itk is accurate and an official announcement is imminent (e.g the next couple of days), we might start hearing rumours from the more established news outlets fairly soon.

I think we're mixing up a lot of ITK here. Breezer said the GK had a medical yesterday and confirmed The Goat's ITK of the GK being close to signing.

Where that fits into the other guy's sodium laden mate's dad monday announcement tale is anyone's guess.

I think it is safe to treat the rest of the ITK, JJ's italy emojis, Gards' very close non-GK, and Alli Z's RB and young CB as separate line of information.
