after 4 seasons of hardly missing a match, perhaps he would be happy to have a few seasons being rotated.

with the money RM have spent this season even if they where very interested they can't spend much more without selling a few, and knowing he only has 1 year left leaves them in a strong position. Levy has to decide to let him go for a lot lower fee, or pay a player that will take up a squad place, and might not give the effort required, though if we get Lo Celso and Ceballos then he will have to step up his game to get in the 18.

the annoying thing is, so many have moaned about him last season, yet he played a massive part and had a good record on the assist and goals column that got us 4th

I don't mind they way RM is approaching this transfer, it is more the desperation of Eriksen wanting to join a team that seems hardly interested and is 100% their back up plan if they fail to land their primary target that is Pogba. You barely even hear any stories from AS and Marca, RM's mouthpiece pushing for this transfer.

Modric walked into their starting 11 and so did Bale, if Eriksen ends up joining he will most likely be a rotation player due to their insane midfield depth. What sort of mentality does a player have to have to go from being the center piece of CL finalist to then be contempt with a rotation role. He is basically forfeiting legend status for us and the EPL to be just another player in RM that is going to be discarded as just another star player that played for them without making a dent on their illustrious history.

EDIT. Quted wrong person.

That's what they want you to think! The spin machine is starting the rev up now which can normally means one thing, he is off.

Quite possibly, but there is something about Eriksen’s soft spoken huskiness that makes me think he’s capable of being a bit of a snide.

Weird how Eriksen so badly wants to go there but Madrid seem to just want him for the sake of it and as a squad player.

At spurs he’s first choice and we’re on up so just seems really odd move to want for me as Real aren’t looking like they want him that badly...

What Madrid are telling him and what they are telling Levy about how they view him is probably completely different.

I know this is a crazy idea but why don’t we offer Eriksen and new deal and loan him to Madrid for a season so he can get it out of his system and can realise it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. We get Ceballos for a season and everyone is happy and no one is out of pocket.

so he wants to fulfil his dream, and if that's been his dream since he was a kid then so be it. if RM had taken the chance 6 years ago he wouldn't of ever wore our shirt. if he was going to a shit team without history then I could understand people being upset

Not enough cultural exchange done in football imo

To be fair to Eriksen we don't know what price Levy has put on him so we can't just assume he wants us to accept a low bid.

He doesn’t want to be here, and his levels of enthusiasm for being at Spurs have dropped, so let’s bin him off quickly on the best possible terms for our great football club and let the boss build for the future with committed players he wants.

Eriksen out, with GLC and Ceballos in.

A midfield of Winks, Ndombele, Alli, GLC, Ceballos and Moussa excites the shit out of me.

Certainly beats Sean Davis, Michael Brown, Toda, Redknapp and Sherwood.

And we don’t know what being “pissy” means. For all we know he might be just pissed off that Madrid have led him to believe they were serious about signing him and now aren’t that fussed. At least not fussed enough to pay anything close to what we want.

Eriksen at the Bernabau, when he again hits the first man on a corner, blazes a free kick into the wall or pussy’s out of a 50/50, those white flags will be screaming blood for him. Hmm, good luck Christian, you’ve been a legend but you’re gonna have to sort your shit out to survive at that place

I'd imagine he's probably pissy towards us tbh. Literally no grounds for that, just my gut feeling

Well maybe the fact he’ll actually have serious competition there will force him to up his game?

Let’s face it, he’s been on easy street at Spurs as far as his place in the team is concerned.

One thing I’m not gonna miss about Christian is the weekly variations of the spelling of his surname.

6 years and people still struggle with Eriksen

We’ve also had ITK since then from Hercs that he changed his mind within a week about committing to the club if the move fell through and there’s ITK from ValenciaYid in the Eriksen thread that he’s burned his bridges. He sounds like he’s spit his dummy out and wants us to accept a well below market value offer, that’s not going to happen.

Perhaps his agent had been contacted or the other way round his agent contacted RM, and Perez showed interest.

not being funny but it would be a reasonable transfer which I would of expected it to be a lot more vocal. also if he is that determined then perhaps he should put in a transfer request. yes it will cost him a few bob to do it, but might lower the fee to help him, and he hasn't done that yet or it would be known by all

I don't like this idea that they will now have to move to win trophies, when they had the chance to win the biggest one a month ago, and frankly Eriksen (and Alli) were rubbish in the match, and had they turned up they would have have won one.
Oh I do like the theory that had we played better we would have won

The club is very tight lipped over issues with players ie Eriksen and Alderweireld. All we hear from ITK is that they’ve burned their bridges therefore we can only assume that they’ve seriously upset either Poch and/or Levy.

VDV and Dembele came across as true professionals and the club actively supported them moving clubs.... you certainly don’t get the impression Eriksen and Toby have shown this level of professionalism and that’s very disappointing.
How has Toby not shown professionalism? He has put 100% in to every game and whether it's him or his team behind him his social media is always Spurs related.
